We need a guard, or two. Sham is a dude but cant stay healthy. Texas guard is out of eligibility. With Lang gone now, and us conceivably trotting Satterwhite to C, and as important as that position is in this offense - would be good to have an upper classmen next to him. But yeah, Heard is gonna be a dude, is a dude. The only thing I will say about OL for next season and beyond is I understand bringing one Lineman from Portal but unless these young guys get snaps in the actual games that means something how do you expect them to develop?
Practice snaps can only develop players so much..
“Texas Guard” Karic will appeal for and likely receive a medical redshirt for 2023.We need a guard, or two. Sham is a dude but cant stay healthy. Texas guard is out of eligibility. Well we had a coupler things really go our way early in that one... And we had a quick strike offense. So you jump on opponents quick and really put the pressure on Thier offense to keep up.I don’t know, part of me is giving off 2022 @ LSU vibes, where we went in and just demolished them. I don’t think it will happen, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if it did. I don’t think Day is a good coach, I just think they play mediocre talent outside of Oregon, Penn State, and Michigan, and he wins the games he’s supposed to win (save Michigan). He’s already make comments about when they play Oregon, so he’s obviously not paying much attention to this one. So I can definitely see a scenario where Heupel goes all in on the playbook and lets Nico be Nico and we run them out of the Shoe.
I hope we win...if our OL doesn't freak out on the road for once, and the offense is executed at a high level for 60 minutes...we could win.You are correct McGill but as far as match up we do match up better with them than some of the other top teams. Having a weak OL is a problem against our DL. They also lost their center before the Michigan game for the season. That’s probably the main reason they lost. Sort of like us without Cooper. It’s definitely a huge challenge on the road but I think it’s doable. Get up early and their crowd could get pretty toxic. We will definitely have to be on and not get rattled by the atmosphere. I do like that we have a break and plenty of time to prepare as I think we have a slight coaching advantage. It’s a great opportunity to announce to the world that we are back.
You and I both know all the talking heads will queue up all the can’t win big game talk if we lose. They already have the speeches written. Go up to the horseshoe and take down tOSU In prime time in a playoff game would take this program to a different level on the national stage. It’s a huge challenge but that brings huge opportunity. I just hope we get a fair whistle and Nico can hit the shots that Heupel schemes up. It’s fun to be one of 12 teams with a shot just 4 years after Heupel arrived. It’s actually amazing.I hope we win...if our OL doesn't freak out on the road for once, and the offense is executed at a high level for 60 minutes...we could win.
Pretty sure everybody already knows we are back...and they all hate it.
Can these guys who are able to red shirt be available to play in all of the playoff games now since they are considered postseason? I know you could in the bowl game, but I’m not sure how that works with the playoff and potentially being able to play 4 more games.Tennessee freshmen who can redshirt (14)
