Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Are our WRs not gonna play? I believe they can still play if they're transferring. . . i'm not sure how that would work out
From what I’ve heard, no. All the way in or all the way out. Also depending on how far we go they will need to be enrolled at their new school by start of new semester.

How can people think Favre was going to elude the tackler? Why should he get planted? For no reason, when the game was over. It's not Favre's job. I see stuff like that every time I watch the NFL. Just ESPN trying to sell commercials by exploiting whatshisname's pain and reward his severe crybaby schtick, imo. Bruh needs help.

The pocket slanted the other way and he tiptoed in slow motion TOWARDS him. 99/100 he easily throws that ball away at the worst. In this case, didn’t even go through his reads. He’s always made light of this. I’m not considering it an American tragedy, but it wasn’t considerate of sportsmanship and the game. He wanted Strahan to get the record being so close.

I just talked to a P4 coach. He said NIL for 2025 has become insane. Players who made $50,000 per year last year are now at $350,000. He just heard that another school in his conference just paid $600,000 for a LT. He evaluated the same LT and his school did not offer him over health issues.
LT is often the 2nd or 3rd most valuable position on an entire team.

Makes sense. In the NFL even the 32nd highest paid LT is making 10x that. And yet plenty of college coaches make just as much as many NFL HCs.

Yet no one scoffs when an old coach gets $10mm/yr...interesting 🤔

Agree and if I remember it came early in the game.

And I wonder if the coaches complaining are willing to forego raises when they’re offered. Or take a pay cut to show that the pay to players is out of control. Or be on board for a regulating body to implement a salary cap for coaching staffs.
This.

The irony is wild.

For most. They don't care.

For me I see a bad product and get bored watching.
You get bored watching up to 30 teams vying for a playoff spot and championship in the final 4 weeks? Rather than maybe 8 teams vying for 2 or 4 spots like the old days, when the other teams stopped caring after 8 games? Yeah that was real exciting.

You must HATE March Madness.

True, he was the catalyst for the beginning of this.
Maybe Fulmer’s plan to destroy bama by stealing their dc eventually came to fruition.
The hiring of pruitt caused a series of events that were catastrophic on the surface, but glorious in the end.

Pruitt leaves bama: their bagmen became less effective. Not visible immediately but cracks in the veneer began to show.

Pruitt stupidly tries the same thing at Tennessee, fails miserably and to this very day cannot understand why his actions were legal at uga and bama, but not at Tennessee.

Pruitt gets fired for cause saving Tennessee Millions and even more by firing his staff as well. NCAA takes notice of this and wants their money.

Fulmer steps down in duress (on the surface while whistling Rocky Top throughout the process). Tennessee immediately hires Danny White the greatest AD in the history of ADs.

Danny White (or Fulmer) hires Rodney Garner because a moron didn’t keep him on staff. Possibly the most important move in the whole chessmatch.

Tennessee opens up the entire pruitt fiasco to the ncaa. The ncaa gleefully thinks that they can essentially give Tennessee the equivalent to the death penalty. Meanwhile back at Tennessee:

AD DW holds a smokescreen HC search getting “turned down “ right and left. Then in a desperation move he hires Coach Josh Heupel ( the hero we needed but we had no clue).

Now the ncaa decides to attack Tennessee once CJH gets rolling because Tennessee was supposed to flounder in the desert instead of embracing the new NIL situation and resurrecting the Spirit of the Volunteer Nation.

Little did the ncaa know, but Tennessee decided to tear down the iron curtain and take down the communist regime built by the ncaa and sankey. They were absolutely stunned when the State of Tennessee stood up and said ENOUGH! ncaa got their asses handed to them.

Now two short seasons later, Tennessee has won the CWS! Tennessee men’s basketball is ranked #1 and on the brink of a great year. The Tennessee women’s basketball team is righting the ship (with the hero that the old guard didn’t want 😎)! All of the other sports are flexing their muscles and getting to prominence nationally as well! Oh and the Football team is in the playoffs! (Despite every effort to deny that).

The absolute best part is that as Tennessee is ascending, both bama and florida are crumbling!

Once Tennessee runs roughshod through this playoff gauntlet, our return to power will be undeniable for any and all! (Part of the plan that kept bama out of the playoffs was for Tennessee to inexplicably lose to arkansas and then stumble against uga, if Tennessee was undefeated, bama would be in the playoffs. Sacrifices were made, the toughest playoff route given so that the 4 straight wins will appear miraculous. Do y’all really think that Nico could miss that many open receivers? 😳 If you have watched closely, the team never seems upset about the “drops” it’s almost like they are scripted to add to the drama.)

Meanwhile in Winchester Tennessee, Coach Fulmer is sitting back, drinking a whiskey and laughing quietly as his most devious plan succeeds far beyond his wildest imagination!

At least that’s how the movie script will go…

Meanwhile we’re all

14-2 🤠

Oh, and next year there’s no hiding it anymore and Tennessee football will begin a reign of terror that the college football world has never seen before. The difference is that we will be benevolent rulers (unlike the bamas, osu/michigans, usc/notre dames, uga/floridas have been). Just watch. Next year Tennessee will lead the charge of hiring permanent referees and officials for all ncaa sports. The officiating will have to be truly impartial or the conferences and ncaa will be held accountable.

16-0 🤠
Cliff notes on the NCAA part......20240130_181705.gif

Guess we see now why Kelly had his telethon this morning.

Somebody in the LSU media department needs some remedial photoshop training.

Looks like a player from the waist up, though with a crappy photoshop "reveal".

Editorial decision to leave in the meth legs. Delusions of parasitosis on the left. R knee jet black and scabbed from hours spent kneeling to harvest copper wire from construction sites. If you refuse to crop, have you not heard of the healing brush? The devil is in the details, LSU...

I hear that the ACC has hired a crew from the SEC, they did our game with Georgia.
1st off........ Screenshot_20240803_122223_DuckDuckGo.jpg

And if that happens ..... that'd be the former bama QB team captain and 1988 Sun Bowl MVP, David Smith. If him, "Icabod", or Killer Kyle show up.......the fix is in and we're screwed. (Probably screwed anyways. Zebras hate ORANGE.)20231111_161710.jpg20231024_002635.jpg20231202_164916.jpg

I don't care who officiates, I just want a fair whistle.

The next?!?! You arrogant pr*ck there won’t be a next for you guys!

This dude is such a sissy. Crying about our fans buying tickets. On the heels of Herbstreit chastising their ENTIRE fambase for booing the home team...you would think OSU fans would step up their game. Sissies.
