Recruiting Football Talk VIII

@Ericvol2096 what types of fund raising events does Spyre have up its sleeve for 2025?

Are you seeing complacency amongst donors?

Will Florida **** itself in recruiting like it did last year?
Focus has been business memberships and from what I’ve heard we added a huge amount over the last 6 months.

Don’t think there is any major shortage of funds at all, but we definitely still have strategies at how we allocate funds and don’t chase every bidding war.

be smart

That doesn’t make him a dbag
Yeah Pate is one of the most complimentary and reasonable folks out there.

Vegas has us at a 27% chance to win. Nobody picking a 73% favorite is wrong in doing so. Just not a Vol fan, which means there's a lot otherwise wrong with them 😆

Never took you for the grinch 😂
Haha I'm all for gifts as a gesture of thoughtfulness. But I choose self-made ones.

Materialism and consumerism is pure brain rot and makes us all less human and citizens. And those that are Christians whatsoever should be first in line, way ahead of me, given Jesus's own thoughts on worldly possessions.

I personally agree, but I also know the average American female usually takes a different perspective on gifts than I do, and theirs isn't necessarily wrong.

For whom?

And why weren't you outraged with million dollar coaches, ADs, and facilities?
I don't believe anyone should be outraged over salary of any position. Players, HC or AD.

These players are getting the big bags as you younger generation say. Which is fine kudos to them but when is it okay for fans and the media to start blasting the players for on field production. Example if player X gets a $20 million dollar NIL deal and stinks it up on the field should player X be exposed to the criticism from the fans and media?

No one has ever been shielded from criticism.

Believe it was Ainge that was receiving death threats 15 years ago. JG leaked similar.

Folks can critique whoever they want. No one should care. Respectful criticism is one thing.

But if we're talking trashing people, I don't see why any adults should be doing that to others. We should all treat others by the Platinum Rule. Not as a*******. Jmo. Athletes are just as human as anyone else, there's no excuse for treating them as anything else.

This is true but we all know that's not how it will be ..EVER.

Criticism is amped up to a whole different level when large sums of money are involved..

Fanbases better get some thick skin is all I know..
