Materialism and consumerism is pure brain rot and makes us all less human and citizens. And those that are Christians whatsoever should be first in line, way ahead of me, given Jesus's own thoughts on worldly possessions.

Was just looking for a recommendation not a manifesto on consumerism. Thank though.

Don’t feel bad man. One time when I was working at a sporting goods store I had some guy come in in the middle of April and asked me if I had seen Tennessee beat Bama in football that weekend. I said oh yeah you watched the replay of last season’s game, right? He said “no man it was live.” How am I gonna argue with that?

Just introduced my son to Burt Reynolds, let him watch Stroker Ace and he loved it. Gonna let him watch cannonball run next to get him ready for Smokey and the Bandit............. Was there anybody better than Burt back in the day.

And I wonder if the coaches complaining are willing to forego raises when they’re offered. Or take a pay cut to show that the pay to players is out of control. Or be on board for a regulating body to implement a salary cap for coaching staffs.

The coach I mentioned was not complaining and he does not make millions. He just thought it is wild that players making $50,000 are jumping to $350,000 in one year.

Wife wants an iPad for Christmas. She really just likes editing photos, internet surfing, watching Netflix. I don’t really have a budget in mind but she doesn’t really need anything too crazy technical. Any suggestions on model would be appreciated.

Basic IPad starts at $349 - you will need a case and IPad pencil. Case needs to have pencil holder
