Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Right. But he was starting at Memphis, which is a level above all of those schools, except Vanderbilt. He had a good season. This isn’t a move for more PT at a lesser school. This is an attempt to move up a level. He should just stay where he is. He doesn’t have the speed or athleticism for SEC ball, at least not as a starter.
That’s my feeling. Didn’t have a problem with him or his effort here, just wasn’t fast enough to be effective.

No surprise. When are these idiots gonna realize the portal can’t be opened until the season is completed.

I don’t give a dang about when school semester’s start or anything,
Football basically has its on rules regarding school anyway so adjust their school schedule to work with football, not the other way.

Cardelle jones said they ain’t their to play school

1. We ran the ball all year long in the SEC and neither Organ or State Penn would do as well.
2. Their corners suck and won't be able man cover our receivers. Their safeties are good but they will have to have a big role in stopping the run. We will get a lot of one on one opportunities in the RPO game.
3. They have not faced a sideline to sideline spaced, tempo offense like ours, ever. I don't care if they had Hal Mumme give them a clinic, it is difficult to prepare for.
4. They won't be able to simply slow us down, they didn't slow down Michigan and we're better. We rotate so many bodies and they do not, we will wear them down. We've done it all year. I think by the second half we will have our way with them.
5. Tennessee is a team that built to better handle inclement weather than is Blohio. We can win ugly, we saw what happens when they get in to that kind of game a couple of weeks ago.
6. The same people who were confident that they were whip a .500 Michigan who got taken to the woodshed by TU. Michigan had no passing game and pushed Blohio around.
7. WGWTFA.
Sounds to me like we win by double digits!

Awesome info. Could you ask him if he feels like we'd be missing out on the other types of filaments since the A1 doesn't have an enclosure or if that's something that isn't gonna matter until we get way further into to 3D printing? Also does he think buying the combo is worth it for multi color prints?
He said the combo is best because you get AMS. AMS doesn't only allow for different colors but also different types of filaments. He said the best printer is the P1S for the money because it has the enclosure and a more advanced AMS but he realizes that might not be the best for starting out from a money standpoint. Having the ability to load 4 different spools with different colors and materials is a nice feature. He's not really familiar with the AMS lite that comes with that printer as the P1S comes with a more advanced AMS. Basically, if money is not an object the PS1 will do a lot more and do lot different materials. You can even print crocks using TPU 😅 . The enclosure definitely helps with print quality. I bought him his first one and he ended up building his own enclosure to help control the temperature.

Heup schemes up 10+ plays like this a game...we've just been hitting on them at a 10-20% a game clip...it is so frustrating because it us not just one reason either.

Every game goes like about like this....a couple of plays are missed QB or WR reads, couple plays are just drops, couple of plays are bad throws, couple of plays are some stupid effing penalty on the OL, couple of plays it's a missed or botched blocking assignment...just on and on and on.

It's just frustrating as hell because we know that if they would just execute at a 50% clip on these plays that we would blow everybody off of the field because NOBODY is scoring on us like they were able to in 22.

This is absolute TRUTH. Coach Hype schemes up maybe 8 to 10 plays a game on average in SEC play where we have a WR or TE running WIDE OPEN behind the defense... Hooker and his 2 WRs that were drafted on the 1st day connected on them regularly and we averaged 46 points per game leading the nation. Nico and this less gifted WR corps have not managed to even hit on 40% of them this season. Not 4 or even 3 long TDs per game in the passing game. There are lots of reasons as you mentioned...including drops, bad passes, bad Oline play etc. It is insanely frustrating because if we just scored 30 points in every SEC game we are 11-1 or even 12-0 and likely headed for a Championship. The bright side is knowing that with this defense...if the offense just halfway gets their crap together we can still beat any team in the country.

baseball sucks because of analytics. uppercut swings 80% of the time.

basketball sucks because its three passes to a dunk or three pointer.

this xenophobic rhetoric is stupid.
I prefer Americans. Whatever word there is for that, call me it. I don’t give a ****.

we need collective bargaining badly
Booo…. Look at history man.

NIL is a person selling their own Name, image & likeness. Don’t get government or unions involved wit that.

In know it effectively pay for play, but it is what it is. Let the free market dictate that.

Now if you want to have salary paid through the school or NCAA then that’s different, but leave NIL free market please.

@Ulysees E. McGill and I had this exact take word for word about Major League Baseball and got eviscerated for it
I don’t agree. I used to love the NBA . Bird , Magic, Jordan. Real players, no BS.

Then came along the Lebrons, Hardens , Durants and a bunch of other crybabies.
No desire to watch. Only one I would was Steph Curry.

A little bit of interest is coming back mostly because of the foreign players

Bullet #6 is the NBA plays no defense.

Only NBA I have really watched in the last 20 years was peak Steph Curry playoff runs....because theres never been 1 like him. He is so much better as a shooter than anyone in history that the all time #2 in career 3s made says on national TV that " Steph is really in his own lane. Theres him, then everyone else." Seeing him move without the ball in his hands to get open was just as amazing to watch as his unlimited range and willingness to sleeve em soon as he crosses half court if he is even remotely open. Was fun to watch him take over in the gold medal game this Olympics too...if yall missed that you definitely need to watch the highlights. I know his aunt and uncle, his uncle was my HS defensive football coach. Followed him since he was at Davidson (i live in Charlotte). I know there are amazing players in the league now but I couldn't care less about the NBA...and if they quit playing MLB I wouldnt notice for years unless it affected the BaseVols. Major league baseball is literally like watching paint dry.

I prefer the best players in the word who are also 'good people'. In golf, that is Rory McElroy for me. In basketball, if Vescovi had gone on to be a star in the NBA, good chance he'd be my favorite player. Not about nationality for me at that level (unless in the Olympics).

I love Rory. Of course, there are a large number of PGA tour players that i fully support. There are very few professional golfers that I actively dislike. Luckily for me, most of those guys have chosen to self-isolate on the LIV tour. The only players I actually miss are Rahm and Koepka.

Listened to some Ohio State podcasts…..takeaways:

1. We can’t run on them. Oregon and PSU were tougher than they will face against us.
2. We can’t throw on them. Because of our inability to run on them the safeties will be able to help in pass coverage.
3. They will be able to get defensive calls in because the D coordinator practiced with Cutcliffe at Duke.
4. They simply have to slow down our D Line and they will throw all over us because Carson Beck did.
5. The cold weather will impact us.
6. Most think they’ll win and cover.
I can't stand Ohio State, they're so full of themselves. They're basically the Yankee Bama, and it just makes me want to beat them even more.
