Yes. Nothing says "powerhouse program" quite like a home loss to Northern Illinois University.

They're ranking the offenses.

They've averaged 42/game vs P5 and 47 in their last 5.

You could focus on a singularly awful game early in the season, sure. But looking at the whole season, and even weighting towards the 2nd half of the season, would seem to make a little more sense.

There also aren't a lot of great offenses this year. Not sure who else you actively push up in the poll. Maybe SMU a bit?

I think they will struggle, neither of these teams should be in the playoffs.

So boot IU and ND, the 5th and 8th ranked teams, and replace with, Bama and Miami I'm guessing? Or someone else, ranked in the mid-low teens (3 loss Mizzou, Ole Miss, Iowa St, USCjr, or BYU)?

Curious which 12 teams should be in the playoffs.

I would disagree, but Vandy may have been better than A&M this year

Either way, they appear to be a pretty solid team. The kind of team that can hang with anyone not in the top 2-3 teams most years (before getting blown out by a superior breed). I'm still not believing those type teams really exist this year. Good for us. Unless we just put all that into Oregon, who could only beat 5-7 Wiscy by 3, FCS Idaho by 10, and BSU by 3. They've certainly slid by a number of times this year, so I don't see them on that kind of pedestal rn.

I think/hope IU gives them all they have. But I wouldn't be surprised to see ND win by 10 either.
