Yeah but Texas has 5-star athletes everywhere. When you recruit at a high level you get the benefit of the doubt. Something teams like Indiana should never get.

Did you also enjoy two Big 10 teams with 2-losses being ranked ahead of us?

This committee didn't just screw Alabama. They screwed us too because of their overvaluing of the Big 10. Ohio State got a home game largely because Indiana was considered a quality top 10 caliber win.

So when you cheer for Alabama to get screwed just realize we're getting screwed as well cause for an SEC team to get left out the SEC as a whole has to be viewed as being inferior to the Big 10.

Oh please. Bama was the first team out and no one is out there saying the SEC is an inferior conference. TN is in the playoff and considered a better team than 13 other SEC squads, including Bama. Just take it in and enjoy where this program is heading while others are left in our dust.

Which Alabama team are we talking about. The one that got beat by Vanderbilt and slaughtered by Oklahoma or the one that beat Georgia? I had to check and make sure I was in the Volnation recruiting forum and not the football forum. College teams play at different levels throughout the season all the time especially after long layoffs (3 weeks). Alabama and Ole Miss had easy opportunities to qualify on the field late in the season and failed. I just can’t believe everyone is carrying water for them on Volnation. I hate Alabama.

Well.. Beating only bad teams doesn't tell you anything either.... Oh, wait... It does when you get the hell beat out of you by the only teams you play with a pulse... This isn't hard. Indiana.. Good team that deserved a really good bowl game.

Never was one of the best teams in the country, and had no business in this playoff.

And I'm betting we won't be saying that only about IU before the weekend is over.

If ND is going to be in the running for these things, they need to be made to play a real schedule....but I will say they have a good defense.

How many times in the last 15 years have they been smashed in the postseason despite having a ridiculously gaudy record?

Here's a happy thought. You know Bammers are watching this game and feeling completely screwed. It warms my heart and soul to think how angry they must feel. Inbred bastards.

Finally some rational thought. The committee did look at schedule strength which is why with 1 loss Indiana was at 10 below many 2 loss teams. Alabama and Ole Miss would both have been ahead of them with only 2 losses but had 3. I think the biggest issue is the 3 week layoff as we saw terrible games like this when only a 4 team playoff. I am thrilled Alabama and Kiffin are on the couch watching. I want to see Tennessee play before I talk to much smack about other teams.

These two things arent the same.

You are correct but Alabama and Ole Miss with 2 losses each knew they just had to win their last 2 games and they would be in the playoffs. They both lost one of those in effect play in games and as a result get to watch from the couch. We were in the exact same position and won so we were rewarded with a spot. Seems fair to me. We were also celebrating them being left out and now everyone is arguing they should be in. I’m hoping it’s just the liquor talking. Alabama got beat on the road by Vandy and got slaughtered by Oklahoma but would kill Notre Dame on the road . Make it make sense.
