Everybody on game day agreeing how bad Indiana looked...
Everyone on planet Earth with half an oz of reason can see it. Ergo, anyone arguing contrarily is wrong, period. Anyone with any decision making authority is biased, period. And that is wrong.
I'm trying to think at a high Admin level here. Good of game, fairness, money. The current model isn't sustainable. What happened on the field last night is akin to just writing all C's in the answer column. It's a strategy, but its also one with no basis, thought or concrete plan put into it.
There is NO high level reason.
As a fan, its insulting to see Indiana AND Notre Dame in this Playoff. Notre Dame should be 9th seed, and we should be playing a G5 in Neyland.
But because an acting BG10 AD is chairperson, who's ego is too big to be questioned. We do mental gymnastics to arrive at what looks eerily like a field picked by popularity, and educated guess. In golf it would be a mulligan.
Its off putting, insulting, and shameful to the game. Playoff committee truly owes nothing to us to choose good games. But they absolutely are in charge of getting the field right. You had one job. ONE. And you failed, miserably.
Its a hundreds of million, if not billion dollar industry.
Its akin to being handed the keys to the castle, and letting squatters be the groundskeepers. How? Indiana and Notre Dame suck, bad.
