Which Alabama team are we talking about. The one that got beat by Vanderbilt and slaughtered by Oklahoma or the one that beat Georgia? I had to check and make sure I was in the Volnation recruiting forum and not the football forum. College teams play at different levels throughout the season all the time especially after long layoffs (3 weeks). Alabama and Ole Miss had easy opportunities to qualify on the field late in the season and failed. I just can’t believe everyone is carrying water for them on Volnation. I hate Alabama.

Either team. I think Vandy or OU also beats the piss out of IU if they play the same way they did vs bama.

I'm not carrying water for alabama. I'm saying Indiana sucks. I'm also not saying Bama or Ole Miss should be in the playoffs. I'm saying Indiana would never be in the playoffs if they played 1/2 of an SEC schedule

Disagree but that’s okay as they won’t play on the field. Single games are bad data points. Last night too me looked almost identical to Alabama at Oklahoma and Notre Dame is better than Oklahoma. I just don’t understand why Indiana looking bad on the road means they suck but Alabama getting slaughtered means they had a bad game. It’s bias and I expect it from ESPN but not on Volnation. Just a different opinion but not a big deal. If we struggle tonight on the road does that mean we don’t belong? I think it will mean winning on the road in college football is very difficult.

Oh you don't hate them more than me. The fact is I am not going to suffer these fools who say that these crappy teams deserve to be in the playoffs. Screw deserve, they are not the best teams, the best teams should be in. Losing one game playing against the lame, sick, and infirmed is the same as losing half your games in the SEC, period.
I never want to avoid the best. Nothing would make me happier than to whip a good SEC team in the finals.

Well I would rather see Tennessee and 11 "crappy" teams that you keep on calling any team that doesn't play in the SEC in the CFP Playoffs. Different strokes for different folks.

They gave is 3500 tickets. Even if there are 10,000 Vol fans in the stadium tonight, that is a huge impressive turnout. I am willing to bet it will be closer to 30k or more. Which should be demoralizing to OSU when you are hosting the first ever December game in your home stadium and possibly 1/3 of the crowd is going to be opposition. Sad for them and even more reason we should have hosted.

If the stadium looks anything like College Gameday does then I’ll guess 30+% orange at the shoe today. That’s embarrassing as all hell for a program like OSU for a home playoff game. I get the fans are apathetic with Day.. but yikes.

It is possible to be happy Bama didn't get in as a UT fan AND realize that committee's lack of punishment for Indiana's lack of SOS could have easily left UT on outside looking in had things played out slightly differently.

Probably true and not really wanting to argue. All I am saying is I’m not a fan of the eye test as that will always favor the same few teams. At least with this system some other teams get a chance to actually settle it on the field. I think we can all agree that nobody that is left out of the playoffs really deserved to be in. Also we saw games just like last night in a 4 team playoff and they were neutral site games. I felt like Indiana was a pretender but was fine with them getting a shot. I hate Notre Dame but they look good to me.
