I wish Soda was here to help get us degenerates back on task. We have work to do. We have to build a better roster. We probably need to upgrade some assistants. The reality is we are not that far from being elite. Closer than we have been in a long time. Last night was a kick in the Knuts, I just hope it was a wake up call and Heup makes the changes needed to get to the next level. It's basketball season now. LFG

Just what I've seen on vn today. But if he is,I don't blame him. And I think it's also a good thing for us. Love the kid and his effort..vfl status EARNED, no doubt.

Interesting re: Cam and WR. He’s always seemed a bit like a bigger guy, ran upright, but didn’t have the greatest wiggle/elusiveness.

Apparently our big boosters can't compare with other teams' big boosters. Or Heup just doesn't want the higher profile guys. I don't know. All this talk of culture, I like the culture our team has, but we need more elite level guys that will allow us to compete with the elite teams. OSU's WRs were legit elite. Especially that Smith kid. None of our WRs have displayed the level of ability they did.

Josh Pate said talking to the two staffs before the game that Ohio State loved the matchup while Tennessee staff felt like they were out matched and needed a lot of things to go their way to pull off a win. So if you feel like that as a staff what do you need to do to change that feeling before you go into these big time Primetime games?

You don't know the circumstances. They could have been asked to go. They could have already made plans and decided to stay in they're own. They could have been asked to stay, or paid to stay.

Long story short, not all portal entries are created equally.

I think this is my biggest gripe. We really didn't do anything to attempt to confuse or create mismatches. Which is exactly what we did in 2022.

I am responding to you because you are one poster that I truly genuinely like and look forward to seeing your posts. (And not because you give @Weezer a hard time. ) I love the Vols and football in particular. It pains me when we have a season that ends 10-3 and we have so many posters that forget just a few years ago when we were 3-9 or hoping to get a Music City Bowl invite and were excited when we did. Yeah. There is tons of room for improvement but the bishing and hating on our coaches and players is not something I am up for reading and certainly not combating right now. I will be back, but my mental health demands I not wallow in the hating and self loathing that this board will be for the next bit. I look forward to seeing your posts in a few months. Take care.

i usually avoid the RF after a loss, I get it. I was pizzed off after last night, and vented. I’ve been here since the debacle of Butch being fired and the shizz show after. I don’t know what the deal is happening in the RF, it’s becoming FF levels in the last 3? years. I understand and hope at some point you come back when the clouds clear. It’s sorta like a storm blows in and we wait until It passes. I’ll see you on the other side brother. You will be missed .

I saw Christian Harrison hit the portal today. Was there someone else?

Always hoped Harrison would live up to his dad's legacy as a hard hitter. Not completely sure why he's hitting the portal. Sure, Boo was getting snaps over him, but it's not like he wasn't getting any playing time. Guess he just wants more.

The only two coaches I've actually lost faith in are Elarbee and Pope. OL and WRs need to be better.

I'd almost say Halzle, but I'm not convinced he calls plays. Whether it is him, or if it's Heupel, I'm surprised we didn't try 12 personnel against OSU. We should have incorporated the TEs more.

My only gripe with Banks is stop being afraid to blitz. Or stop being averse to it. FFS, when the front four can't get it done, blitz!
