It is what it is. Im rapidly losing interest in the Vols. I'll always be a fan but will follow from afar.

Whoever leaves, next man up. I'm willing to trust in Heupel and the process. And, of course, we only want players here who really want to be here. Not loving this 'player for hire' thing though. Will guys still bleed orange in the future?

I can’t help but think fan apathy with eventually set in and the house of cards will fall. Who wants to waste millions on a player for them to leave after a year? I’m all for players getting a cut, but I don’t think the current environment is sustainable long term.

Coaching is evolving and lots of coaches will struggle to let this culture into the program. It is becoming this way at the high school level quickly as well.

Heupel is way more Dabo than Kiffin. Which isn't a bad or good thing. It's just who he is as a coach. A purest.

And he will probably hang on those morals, even if the product suffers.

Honestly, it is getting harder for me to care... When the 2020 stuff went down with Pruitt I thought we would never compete again. Since then we have beaten Alabama twice which I never believed we could do (I am young...).

I really don't care what players leave because there will be more good moments and bad moments for Tennessee football in the future.

cfb has the best on field product. but this is a circus. who will step up to enact, and enforce rules that aren't 750 pages long.

Yep, unless we overpay this is what we get. These kids are surrounded by family leeches and people who want to take advantage of their marketability.

Same. My first game was at the age of 4 and I’ve been to hundreds of game since. I could donate but honestly seems like I’d be throwing money away, which seems dumb in this economy.

When will we here from the crowd that defends the current market saying it's the free market and it's about time players got paid? That may be true, but yes, the product is not nearly as compelling for me.

People will argue free market, coaches Yada Yada, but this stuff is a different world, it needs different regulations.
Contracts and a CBA with an entity that equally enforces the rules is a good start.

This team had so many playmakers on offense, it was hard for Boo to see the field.

Probably not. There will always be winners and losers. I think the winners will be few and the losers will be many. Parity is all but gone, again. Money drives this stuff as always. What we all loved and enjoyed as college football is in the rear view mirror.

This last CFB playoff appearance may be the last we see for a while.

If the trend continues, the bad moments will eventually eclipse the good ones. I can’t speak for other fans, but for me, the seed of apathy has been planted in my DNA after years and years of bad football. If the program declines, my interest will follow quickly.
