Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Adversity builds character. No one really wants their kids to suffer, they just want their kids to fully appreciate how lucky they are to have what they do. Remember, there are starving kids in Africa who would love to have what you do.

Also starving Russian soldiers in the Ukraine who would appreciate it. Amirite?

Or Lewis. Bishop will prob play good enough to earn a scholly.

But Lewis is built like a tank and is supposedly the fastest on the team. He’s gonna be a menace.
Word is RB's have practiced multiple reps catching passes out of back field.

One HAS to think Cam will be involved in those pckages.

You can criticize the system that sent them there without calling them fodder. Really messed up.

Talk about a bad look.

The soldiers definitely take their job/commitment to their country seriously. Pretty sure the OP was criticizing the scumbag M.I.C. leaders who certainly do, and especially did in the past, look at our infantry as cannon fodder. Now we have drones and soldier technology coming online that limits the need for infantry engagements.

But WW2, Korea, Nam and the Iraq/Afghanistan wars of the 2000's definitely had a certain amount of acceptable "collateral damage" aka cannon fodder in the form of US soldiers and civilians in Iraq/Afghanistan. Doesn't take anything away from our patriotic heroes and the sacrifices they made to call out the scum that leapt at the opportunity to put them in those positions in order to make a profit in the name of "Freedom", much of which never materialized or was given up on before the job was done.

Are we sleeping on Cam Seldon this year? Not been a lot of talk about him since he’s been injured. This guy is FAST for his size and with his weight he is not afraid of contact in the slightest. Runs hard and fights for yardage in this video against a really good defense. I think it will be interesting to see if we get another Small/Wright -type backfield again but with Seldon/Sampson this time.

I love Seldon's natural size, burst and top end speed. I also really like his patience in setting up blocks and willingness to run between the tackles. The next step for him is seeing holes as they develop instead of once they have developed, using his vision to better understand when he has an angle to bounce the run outside to make use of his speed against DL/LB and gete 1v1 matchups on DBs that he can run over. I also want to see him run a little lower and not go down quite as easily on initial contact.

I think he improves in all areas mentioned, is a beast in pass blocking and is a lethal threat catching screens and lining up against LBs in the slot as a WR. As good as Sampson is, I think Seldon is the most complete back on the roster.

I know what he meant. I agree with him.

I’m still not saying it to a dead combat vet’s loved ones. Tone deaf imo.

Haven’t posted or read through the posts in this thread in a while so apologies if this has already been discussed: thoughts on Will Brooks likely starting at safety?

I'm really surprised at how well it works. Usually pain medications don't do a lot for my pain. Opiates don't kill the pain for me, they just give me a buzz and distract me from the pain. I don't care about getting a buzz, just getting rid of the pain, so this seems good.

I only get headaches every couple of months. Using it every couple of months for 1-2 days should be ok?
Depends on how many doses over how many days.

High risk of kidney injury with sustained usage.

Minimal usage and you should be fine.
