Recruiting Football Talk VIII

It's garbage how they come back to so little, so often. Talking resources and help. I've lost faith they ever will.

Which is why priority #1 imo is to work to create fewer vets to begin with. Not talking WW type scenarios, but fighting over oil or BS...just hell no. Tell all the rich politicians "you first" and we'll see how their solution suddenly changes to foreign wars not directly involving us.
We should always seek to avoid foreign entanglements. Like our Founders warned us against.

But when our hand is forced, we should strike hard, and fast, with an eye towards immediate destruction of that which forced the hand.

Unencumbered by measured responses, and limited engagements - which only lead to prolonged campaigns that ensure spilled blood and treasure.

Vodka is better than Whiskey, any day of the week. That said, a 120 minute IPA blows the shandy off either or.

(Do not operate machinery after consuming).

Proven wrong. Lmao.

You never argue the point. You usually show up in an already running discussion, say something ad hominem, then dip. Maybe drop a retread gif.

You just wanna white knight for your little boyfriends. Thatā€™s fine. Itā€™s just funny that you let your dislike for me back you into defending a statement that was just really a bad look.

If you're the only one considering it a really bad look and focusing on the literal words over the OBVIOUS message behind those words then maybe, just maybe you're the one making a big deal about the wrong thing. Your name doesn't happen to be Dick Cheney, does it?

Josh Pate with another glowing UT segment on his show. I'm sure the clip will be up tomorrow.

I think the best part of that segment is that he challenged his audience to give him a logical argument that says he is wrong about Tennesseeā€™s high end potential, and donā€™t just respond with ā€œNothing sucks like a Big Orangeā€

Thatā€™s a shot at the Finebaum crowd.

I'm really surprised at how well it works. Usually pain medications don't do a lot for my pain. Opiates don't kill the pain for me, they just give me a buzz and distract me from the pain. I don't care about getting a buzz, just getting rid of the pain, so this seems good.

I only get headaches every couple of months. Using it every couple of months for 1-2 days should be ok?

Gummies with a mixture of THC-P / Delta 8 / HHC and a dark room with some sleep and some kind of NSAID are only things that kick a migraine for me. Ketorolac has never been quite enough for me without mixing with a weaker NSAID. I know you aren't supposed to mix NSAIDS but I will do just about anything to get rid of a debilitating migraine.

I'm rewatching some of the games from 22.

Our defense that year...I don't think they were that bad, schematically. Lots of times that year we had the right calls, but we're just a step off from really executing at high level.

With upgrades in depth and talent, I think the defense can take a big step this season.

And while I don't expect us to have the#1 offense this year, I do think it will still be very good.

Obviously, a lot depends on Nico, but I don't look at our schedule and not think we can't beat anyone, not named UGA.

11-1 I think is the ceiling, 8-4 the absolute floor. If we beat ncsu, I think we can get rolling. Beat ou, and it could take off like it after that LSU game in 22. šŸŠšŸ¤žšŸ¼
The rare quadruple negative. My mind was doing cartwheels trying to understand this.

Think he wins the punt returner job at some point.
Thatā€™s special teams, not offense.

And I hope not anytime soon. We seem to be searching for answers in the secondary right now - let somebody else shoulder that risk.

Yeah Iā€™m gonna hold firm on my stance of projecting character flaws on to children when they donā€™t pick Tennessee is wrong.

And also telling a soldier (in this case a dead soldierā€™s friend) what he fought for is a big scam. Didnā€™t even say that was wrong, just that this wasnā€™t the place.

Which are you here to defend?
Can you just shut the heck up?

It makes no sense that supposed experts in their field can't come up with basic remedies that I can find on reddit. I'd have probably punched the urologist were I in your situation, there's really no excuse for that.

But ya, water is the key. 50 or so ounces a day is usually plenty for most people.

Water or any drink that flushes out or promotes kidney health is great. It has a good bit of sugar unless you get the Lite version but Ocean Spray Cranberry juices are a go-to for me. White Cranberry w/Strawberry Ocean Spray is fire and I drink at least 20oz per day.

Also, keep in mind that around 80% of your hydration comes from eating so don't skip meals or at least a sizeable and healthy snack if you can't get a meal in. It really does come down to keeping your body hydrated to the point that the crystals never, or rarely, form in the kidney. No need to completely eliminate food or drinks you like, such as coffee or sweet tea.

Take care of that and the worst that you might have to deal with is a tiny crystal that passes with little to no pain and maybe just a slightly sharp, short pain at the tip that goes away quickly.....none of the horrible agony, rolling or crawling on the ground, turning white as the wall and wondering if you ruptured your appendix (that happened with my first good sized stone) and most importantly no hospital bills or unnecessary opiates.

If you ever do have a stone then go with OTC painkillers along with Torradol. It limits spasms from stones and is a godsend. Also, switching to drinking clear sodas like Sprite over Coke, Pepsi or DP more often helps. If those don't do the trick then your stone could be a result of uric acid from too much meat (much rarer) or a calcium stone which should never happen to an adult male unless you really love milk or drink more White Russians than @Jackcrevol

Highly doubtful he ever sees the field on offense. At least at punt returner he can be dynamic with the football in his hands.

Definitely understand the concern with injury but it's probably between him or Squirrel and Squirrel doesn't need any extra wear and tear.

Urologists are ****ing lucky they dont get sued more.

TL;DR

I refused the stint from being in the room with my wife about 5 years earlier while they changed out a stint from her urethra due to passing a stone while she was awake (we worked and smoked pot constantly in our 20's and often skipped meals until after work when we ate and drank poorly and partied a lot so we both had issues with stones).

Wife nearly broke my hand squeezing it while she screamed as the doctor pulled what looked liked a coat hanger with a slight hook on the end out of her lady area. It was about the size of the old-school wire coat hangers, the curved "hook" attached to the kidney to keep in place as the wire opens up the ureter to increase urine/stone flow.

She yelled in pain so loud it scared patients in the lobby and I could see where skin had grown attached to the metal over the week it was in. They were going to put a replacement in until she threatened to start throwing punches, elbows & kicks so they "decided" to let her pass the 4mm stone sans torture stint. No way I was going through that, especially with the severity of my stones likely to cause multiple times of removing and reinstalling a stint every 7 days to prevent infection.....F THAT!

I felt stupid for not asking for FloMax immediately but I also think the Urologist's office should have thought of that instead of prescribing 12-16 of 10mg Oxycodone per day along with Torradol for almost 4 months with neither barely having any impact on the horrific pain. I literally could barely move for 3.5 months it was so painful and I just rolled in my recliner all day moaning. Couldn't hardly eat and was afraid to drink much as it made the pressure from blockage worse. I'd passed many stones, broken multiple bones and always waited days before going to a doctor so I know that I have a high pain tolerance (plus the 12 herniated disc's and fractured spine that barely put me down).

I've had a few female nurses tell me that 5-6mm stones and larger are the equivalent of a man giving birth, but worse in a couple of their opinions, and that was without the huge blockage I had. Those idiots not thinking of a medication made to open up urine flow, putting me through torture & getting me addicted to painkillers still boils my blood when I think about it. Getting off the painkillers was an extra week of fun as the cherry on top.

Thank you and everyone else. The scan was clear so we are back home. Most likely muscular inflammation. She is still in quite a bit of pain. I truly appreciate everyone's kind words and we'll wishes. Thanks to all of my VN family.

Word of advice....don't tell her your dad jokes while she is in pain. We have lost too many people this year and don't want you to get murdered. Seriously though, that is great to hear and hope her pain level gets under control.
