Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Didn’t read it.

But just going by the title, I agree, the social media **** going on is terrible for the program. The stupid NIL rumors are a terrible look. Some fans want answers and I can understand that, but going on social media and posting every rumor isn’t the answer. What recruit wants to be apart of that?

At the same time, questioning game/coach calls, decisions and asking for changes isn’t that bad. Those are more of observations and opinions.
Hopefully the ones who count realize it's just a very loud minority.

As @Ulysees E. McGill has said, this fanbase has both the very best fans in the world and the very worst.

Vol Twitter can be and often is very entertaining. They can also be extremely obnoxious. It's not something I'm crazy about on balance.

Rucker is correct here

I’ve talked to numerous college football fans on my Christmas break who agree something’s broken and they don’t want to be stuck watching another pro sport

Yeah, I’m really getting exhausted with college football these days. I never thought I’d be saying that, but the sport we fell in love with is simply gone, and she ain’t coming back.

it sucks and it’s only going to get worse with time. Greed ruins everything.

You get mugged and the thief takes your wallet. A policeman sees it happen and arrests the thief. Does the policeman give you back your wallet or keep it as evidence?
If you get caught in Sparta MS it gets taken to the Chief of Police, who then consults with Yale educated DA, who, despite the 10,575,000 % rise in violent crime in last year, still works homicides. Along with a guy named Bubba.

Ya know, despite the heavy workload, and stress from shootouts resulting in deaths of 100's of civilians sparta has managed to keep the DA - raising his salary to $18500.00 annually.

But yes, Bubba will have your wallet. As soon as the seven homicides, 160 rapes, and stabbings are solved, this week.

As much as they try to trumpet college athletics s professional sports, it’s a far cry from it. Not even close. My BIL gave up on following and spending money on it 3 years ago. I’ll have to relearn to love it because it sure isn’t lovable anymore.

Why anyone would voluntarily send money to a collective is beyond me. Why anyone would buy a jersey of a kid who’s likely gone the next offseason, no idea.
