I’ve talked to numerous college football fans on my Christmas break who agree something’s broken and they don’t want to be stuck watching another pro sport

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking and saying ever since NIL started. It will happen, too. The road with either be quick and less painful or long and horrendous.

I think what some are saying is the pendulum swung way too far. No-one is saying kids don't deserve to get paid (even in addition to free room and board, education, and food), it's the system we have now isn't sustainable. If so, fans will start leaving, thus taking their money with them. I can tell you I have several friends/family/co-workers (various fans of rival schools), that said they will stop watching and giving if something doesn't change soon. In reading these forums, it appears many are feeling same thing.

We all can agree/disagree with how NIL is structured, but one thing that no-one can do, and that is telling someone else how to spend their money! This is what it all comes down too.
