Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Beautiful tie….I have goofed around with smallmough hair jigs but nothing like this.. Impressive.
Appreciate it man. I got tired of ordering the specific pre-shaped body materials for hellgrammites so I came up with a more simplistic version (this) with more readily available materials. Basically hybrid bugger/hellgrammite concoction. Lethal.

That's a good one. Love the color change and pinchers. Interestingly, ive never seen one in person, only spent insects. Seen plenty of Dobson Flies.

When I was tying more used to tie a woolhead sculpin, and a bent shaft wire 2/0 or 1/0 hook with wire lead wrapped with glass shaker. Cut zonker strips up around to stop with some pearl flash, and sili legs. Barbell eyes allowed it to stand and fight, but bent shank allowed it to swim.

Dynamite for browns on move, and smallmouth.

The most dynamite 'cheater' fly ive used is Todd's Wiggle Minnow. Ive known Todd off and on for years, as he used to work at Mahoney's here in JC. Good dude.

That hellgrammite will fish.

Last time I checked Todd was running trips on a jetboat up and down the Holston in Rogersville.

Wiggle minnows are killer. I like them in yellow a lot (in addition to a shad color).

I was thinking of reaching out at some point in the near future. What is a good Irish whiskey brand outside of Jameson you’d recommend? I’m always for expanding the palate.
Redbreast but it’s expensive.
Waterford is also really good but also expensive.

Teeling is good but I’ve put teeling vs Jameson in a blind test and picked Jameson.
Mcconnells is solid

There is one called Writers Tears (awesome name for an Irish Whiskey) from Walsh Distillery. The Writers Tears Double Oak is my favorite Irish Whiskey. I think it's better than anything else I've had except Red Breast 21-year. And it's pretty affordable.
I will have to look into this one for sure

You listed a pretty good lineup. If you do get to try it, please circle back with me and let me know your thoughts.
They have a Writers Tears Copper Pot and Red. They are okay. I definitely drink them.
The Double Oak is elevated.

I've always wondered if a receiving team/defense player can jump up under the crossbar to block a kick from barely going through at the last instant. I'm assuming so? Just like blocking it at the LOS?
They can but if they tip it through the uprights it counts. Also if the ball deflects off an official inbounds and goes through then it also counts.

We got a few bottles in of 15yr before Christmas and I stared at them every day wanting to buy one. Never pulled the $140 trigger lol
Man if I were there I'd grab one. A mentor of mine introduced me to Redbreast, he'd love a 15 year.

Wow right after we talked about it, Minnesota player almost did it. He went up with 2 hands to catch it instead of 1 hand to block it, or he would have been able to block it.
