Don’t understand how the titans fell off so hard so fast
I loaded trucks at one time and the player that worked with me the most was a WR named Mike Jones. He always carried a football with him. During breaks and lunch we would pass the ball. I can't remember him ever dropping one and I have always remembered that when he caught it you never heard it hit his hands. I think he played for the Vikings and coached at TSU for awhile.I was fortunate to see a few TSU games in the early 80s, but never got to meet Coach Merritt.
But good Lawd the stories I heard about him when I was the golf coach there. Talk about recruiting WARS. Private practices with certain SEC schools.
Etc……
Ed Temple
Ralph Boston
Joe Gilliam, Sr
Richard Dent
Claude Humphrey
Too Tall Jones
Sitting down and talking to those men are experiences I’ll cherish forever. I’ll always have a little soft spot for The Big Blue
One can see the assumptions being used to create criticisms and not have to 'praise' everything the staff does, as much as point out that people are talking out of their ass-umptions. The fact is that nobody really knows. The less people try to create drama for criticism out of their imaginations, the less everyone else would have to respond.Trying to fix something he's responsible for? I guess, but that's hardly laudable. If he knew what he was doing as well as you claim, he wouldn't need to be fixing it, the WR room would have never been so bad in the first place. Do we praise the careless camper who started the wildfire for helping put out the fire afterward?
Defense is why we made the playoffs. And the fact that the SEC was terrible this year.
There's no bigger fan of CJH than me, but it's kind of comical some of you are out here praising everything he does like he was perfect this year. His offense didn't perform well.
Pretty sure our WRs make reads as well. Maybe they aren't smart enough to do that yet? Some guys just need a lot of repetition to pick things up. Remember a 5 star LB that was a class jewel but he reportedly couldn't grasp the defense at all. Never did a thing at UT. Can't recall the name, but I'm sure someone will know who I'm thinking of.I mean idk what has happened to the creativity, motion, etc. the last 2 years but the only thing I can see is that we haven't had QB/OL play capable of the first 2 years and he had no choice but to dumb it down. We aren't even seeing the same formations though which is strange. Hopefully going forward we see '22 level play design with the big changes in run blocking/12 personel
Watch out for UF Tuesday. They'll be crazy hyped for our visit. That might be our first loss of the season.Tennessee is the last remaining unbeaten team with Florida and Oklahoma losing today.
