Recruiting Football Talk VIII

The brother of one of the TCU WRs was one of the ones killed.

I can’t understand how these folks think that the killing of random innocent people brings anything remotely close to sympathy for their cause. It’s time for the world to say enough. It’s time for an eye for an eye type of Old Testament justice.

Take every involved country that has had these terror attacks. Send every single strike team and simultaneously eliminate all of the terrorist leaders. If possible, make them stand trial on a worldwide public stage and then execute them just as publicly. If that’s not possible, then execute them during the strike and film it. As painful as death as possible. Burned alive, exploded, I don’t care, just get it for the world to see what happens when terrorists attack. Then repeat the world wide purge of terrorist leaders each time an attack occurs until it ends.

I don’t know if y’all remember this but when the US embassy was seized in Iran, the USSR embassy was seized at the same time. The USSR said that they had one chance to release their embassy hostages. This message fell on deaf ears. The next day, the heads of all the Iranians in the Iranian embassy in Moscow were delivered to the new government of Iran. The entire USSR embassy was taken to the airport and sent back to the USSR. Not public knowledge. I was told this years later. With this event, has there been a single terror event in Russia? I doubt it.
Speak in a language that your enemy understands. Make the response impossible to ignore. 😡
The only country, in the world, who will always take an eye for an eye is Israel. I've always thought the good ole USA should follow this same principle, but we have too many bleeding-heart-----never mind

Other than it's the Vols the NIL thing is making getting excited about college football tougher. It appears from now on or until sometime in the future when new rules are in place and repeatedly broken by some, we as fans have no real idea who will be on the team for more than six or eight months at a time. Basically it becomes possible to have half your roster turn over with no idea who plans on staying or going the next cycle and or if the ones you have are actually worth the investment. I guess the best thing to do set back buy who we can and hope for the best.

Which is sad when you realize this is supposed to be COLLEGE FOOTBALL. You know actually go to a college for 4 years and actually get a degree from said university. I know that’s to idealistic in today’s environment of win at all costs and make all the $$$$$$ you can. Don’t we already have a professional league called the NFL. I know this will never happen but I would prefer to see a lower caliber of athlete and they actually be student athletes on pace to get a degree from their university. I doubt I’m alone but I also know it’s fantasy land. Just dreaming on a cold, dreary Sunday afternoon.

My buddy said he didn’t get what’s on the main espn channels with it. Maybe he was confused. I only have to the tv for sports so if espn has them all it’s only $11/month as compared to the YouTube tv price
Lady Vols playing on ESPN. It did not offer me the options of other streams. Took me straight to the espn broadcast (YouTube tv).

That would be odd, why do you say that?

If anything, the spot holds a ton of trade value. Not saying they'd stoop to tanking, but it'd be crazy to not want the spot.

Why intentionally lose to move up one spot when the rest of the league knows you won’t take a QB when you can trade off the 2nd pick for basically the same value? Hell if Titans take a QB the 2nd pick could suddenly become hot & Pats might get multiple offers.

So if Joe balls out, ya get 2nd pick and trade both for more capital why not?
