Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Here's a question.

Game on the line. Down 1. 10 seconds left. Which player do you want to have the ball in their hands?

I think I might slightly favor Chaz for the final shot, but Dalton can create for himself. I haven't seen Chaz create as many of his own shots.

We've been blessed to have both of them.
Allan Houston...

ZZ and all those dudes on a court for his best pass or for him to shoot. Guy can make the shot or make the dish.

Titans haven’t been the same since Air McNair (RIP). Sure we’ve had spurts, but let’s not fool ourselves and be irrational. I don’t even know why I root for them, but I do. And it hurts.
Vrabel and Robinson had them rolling with Ryan Tannehill. It went south when Robinson couldn't put his ego aside to retain AJ Brown and failed to draft a future at QB to replace Tannehill.

If Robinson had done those two things, and maybe 1 of them, he'd still be the GM and Vrabel would still be the coach.

This IMO

On January 7, 1927, the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team played their first game, in Hinkley, Illinois. They wouldn’t play a “home game” (in Harlem, New York City) until 1968. The Globetrotters were organized as an exhibition team in their hometown of Chicago, Illinois. The original team, the so-called “Savoy Big Five,” were named after the legendary ballroom (the Savoy) where the team played games before dances. The team soon changed its name to reflect the sophisticated New York neighborhood of Harlem, more than 800 miles away!

Random thought.

What if you started collecting all of the running backup QB's and had Winston as their "leader".

Winston, Dobbs, Joe, & then Hooker would he nice but unlikely. Then just play them all in a rotation. Like starting pitchers. I think it would be unorthodox but could work like a team of RB's.

You could have wildcats with 2 legit QB's. Make opponents scheme for multiple looks and styles by having packages for each dude.

I mean, 2016 through our 7-3 start in 2022, we were the 5th winningest team in the league. We were plenty good during that stretch. Then it all fell apart and we got rid of one of the better coaches in the NFL.

Now we are acting like the damn Browns or Raiders

I would also call it a turning point when Lewan started getting hurt. The once always stout offensive line fell apart and without it we couldn't run the ball like we wanted to and Tannehill could not game manage under that much duress.

Don’t forget missing on damn near every single pick in 3 drafts in a row
