Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Bryce Young actually improved in latter half of this season.

C.J. Stroud took a step back from his great Rookie Season at Houston, it happens..

Yikes didn't realize how much of a fall off there was. Did they have some OL issues or something?

Threw for 300 less yards, 3 less TDs, 7 more INTs, and was sacked 14 more times while playing in 2 more games.

This was after adding Mixon and having a legit running game too. Weird.

I have heard that the hierarchy in the franchise is a mess, in terms of decision making and evals

Also, that Amy's daughter's boyfriend or her son in law, whatever he is, was calling shots...

I don't blame Vrabel for correctly identifying and labeling everyone in the building a dumbass or a wussy

JMO, but the Titans should either trade back or take Travis Hunter with the first pick. Either sign a veteran QB or trade for someone like Hendon and give him a chance. It's possible Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are successful in the NFL, but I don't think either would find success with the Titans.
Agree! IMO Ward & Sanders are Malik Willis but from big time programs. I don't see either one as 1st Round talents especially #1 pick or Top 10 talent.

Amy Adams Strunk had the opportunity of a lifetime............and freaking blew it.

She should have cleaned house!
The HC and GM job look like "good jobs" right now......#1 pick and a new stadium right around the corner. Those jobs will never look better than they do right now.

If not clean house, leave everything the same and take another year..............but to fire just Ran is idiotic.

This proves to me it's not anyone's fault but HERS!
The line “Controlling Owner” in her letter to the fans, says it all.
Thats a I’m in charge statement.
Only insecure people have to tell everyone around them “I’m in charge” those who have confidence in their abilities and are comfortable in their own skin, don’t have a need or reason to.

This is bad news heading into conference play. We can't afford any injuries at this point.......
We can afford whatever needs to be right up until mid-March.

We've been there, done that recently with SEC, tournament titles. Which are very nice, but we want it all this year. If we need to sacrifice for long-term health, then that's what we need to do imo.

Yeah, I think the staff is going to play it pretty cautiously at this part in the season. Being healthy in March will be the biggest goal.

When the hell did office chairs get so expensive???

Also, does anybody have recommendations on office chairs
It's crazy - I have the Hawthorn Fern and it's amazing.

Offensive line injuries, Stephon Diggs out for the year with ACL tear. Nico Collins missed half the season on IL. Rough year for Stroud..

this whole website said on draft day that drafting Levis would get the front office fired lol

now here we are, right again.

It was almost like we all watched him play in college : ).

I get it when a player is successful in college and the NFL scouts don't think their game will translate to the NFL. When a player is mediocre in college and they somehow expect them to excel in the NFL is when they lose me. The bust rate of high draft picks that weren't good players in college is pretty high.

Playoffs? no offense. Breaking in a new OL. With very few proven weapons. Staff not really doing much to help themselves in porthole. I think 8-9 wins would be a coup.

They needed a proven G, DT talent help, and two bonafide difference makers at WR. Yikes.

Nico will be a SO. Biggest improvements occur Y1 to Y2.

2 stud tackles, OL just always produces under Elarbee...I'm betting a 4th straight year we're on the list for CFB's top OL. Improved/older WR room, tons of young DL talent just waiting to break-in, DBs will be great, better at LB, oh and Nico will be a SO.

Imo

Offense 41 ppg
Defense 18 ppg

Another playoff appearance (50%). Most definitely can't catch a worse path if we do make it.

Eric Fisher wasn't worth #1 spot either but Kansas City drafted him at #1 about 9 years ago...

He's done well, but could argue KC "missed" when in the same draft Lane Johnson was available...

I think for the Titans the best choice is more draft capital for that #1 pick. Unless they're certain the QB of the future is there this isn't a draft where you settle for anything else with #1.

But I'd say combine results will dictate a lot of what happens.
