Recruiting Football Talk VIII

That makes no sense---a percentage of a contract is just that. It doesn't have anything to do with the length of the contract. Once the contract is up, the agent negotiates the next contract---for a percentage
My point was thereā€™s not often a ā€œnext contractā€ for NIL college players unless they blow up and decide to not go pro. I donā€™t know how many NIL agents go on to be their clients pro agent too.

Was looking at our 2026 class, which is off to a great start as yall know. I didnt realize that we had 8 commits already. So about 1/3 of the class. That happened fast. Cant wait to see who else jumps in the boat. Pretty sure we have a couple more guys we are in a good spot with set to announce late Jan/Feb. I appreciate all the effort by those who track all this stuff and make the threads etc. Thanks for the effort guys.
Is it?

Of course ankings will change, both up and down, but so far out of 8 commits, only 1 bluechip.

Obviously Faizon is a massive bluechip to have, but we need a whole lot more. It would help a lot if we could at least reach Penn St/ND level talent in the next year or two. Our scheme is good enough to make up the remaining gap.

In general, Glen does the absolute bare minimum in recruiting. If we land someone, itā€™s generally because of some other reason. If we donā€™t land someone, people like to point to the OL coach not building relationships because thatā€™s a reasonable thing to do.

The unfortunate reality is there isnā€™t a single person around the program that gives him a passing grade on recruiting, which is why all ā€œinsidersā€ say the same thing.
Undefeated ā€œnarrativeā€. šŸ˜‰ Almost sounds different with you saying the SAME THING. Must be the online accreditation.

Well
We went 10-2 with lesser talent this year
What the hell is the problem
Talent and coaching?
But then you see finalists for that award and not many can say that for three straight years

If you fire him who do you realistically get?

Will coaches knock down your door to come to a place to coach that fired the previous coach who was a consistent awards finalist recognizing good performance

What do you do, and whatā€™s your realistic plans if you do fire him
I'm pretty sure we could very realistically upgrade Elarbee. And we did not have lesser talent, we were more talented than every single team we beat except maybe Bama, and that's close after all their attrition post Saban (and more talented by a lot than one of the teams we lost to).

And we went 10-2 mostly because of our beyond elite DL.
