If that’s the case, why aren’t they doing anything? That’s pretty inexcusable, especially if the HC falls within that group. In general, Glen does the absolute bare minimum in recruiting. If we land someone, it’s generally because of some other reason. If we don’t land someone, people like to point to the OL coach not building relationships because that’s a reasonable thing to do.
The unfortunate reality is there isn’t a single person around the program that gives him a passing grade on recruiting, which is why all “insiders” say the same thing.
Pretty good, but could it be better? Perhaps that’s the point when they’re saying he does just the bare minimum. Imagine going full throttle, maybe we’d have 2-3 5*. Just a thought. On the OL in the past two classes, we’ve landed a 5*, 3 4*, 3 3*, as well as Heard and the kid from AZ. That’s pretty good for a guy doing the bare minimum.
And conversely each generation thinks their parents are dumb and out of touch with reality and have no clue what they are taking about so they don’t learn the lessons their parents try to teach them. It’s funny that each generation is ultimately griping about their own ability as parents. Who’s ultimately responsible for teaching and training the next generation? Basically you’re saying I failed as a parent but it’s the lazy kids fault for not figuring it out on their own. The cycle continues.
I like it, but I think 1st round should be home field advantage for top 8. I also think you have to give conference champs automatic bid BUT seeding is based on where they’re ranked. So if they’re a conference champ but outside the Top 16, then 16th gets booted and conference champ is in at 16th seed. I just think you gotta reward the conference champs, otherwise what’s the point of 1) playing in the conference title game and 2) conferences in general?K - been thinking about Regular Season & Playoff football games/schedules:
All teams - 10 regular season games + 2 byes = 12 weekends
(2025) Start regular season August 30 and end regular season November 15
Conference championships November 22
16 teams make Playoffs - no byes, no gimme conference champs - based on top 16 at end of regular season
1st round (all teams play - 8 games, neutral fields (”bowl games”) all December 6
2nd round (4 games, neutral fields (”bowl games”) all December 13
3rd round (2 games, neutral fields (“bowl games”) all December 20
Championship Game, neutral field (bowl game) January 3
14 (or 15 if conference champ game) total games
I think Pros play 17 regular season games…do they have any byes in regular season?
Thoughts….GO!
