Good rule of thumb is to never listen to Caleb Calhoun.
But also it wouldn’t be surprising if a QB’s family wanted the QB to throw the ball more. Seems like common sense.
I can't argue at all if that's what they wanted. I'm in their corner on most of it. I'm undecided on the contract demands.Caleb Calhoun and Dave Hooker should both be ignored at all costs. Infinite amount of nonsensical takes from those two.
With that being said, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that Nico’s family wants him to sling the ball more as well as upgrade an offensive line that at times was pitiful in pass protection.
A lot of QB's look a whole lot different if you start hacking into their stats from productive games. Hopefully it was a talent/play calling issue that slowed production in SEC play and it gets worked out. He can make any throw when he isn't hearing footsteps as soon as he steps on the field.I mean…his stats weren’t great. 201 ppg is decent, but take away the 11 tds vs utc, vandy and utep he has 8 pass td to 4 int (taking away vandy int as well), which isn’t exactly great leveraging #’s
@Weezer moves to the edge of this cave dwelling.no porthole targets acquired sir.
That's their schitck. I refuse to listen to those clowns.I just listened to the first 5-minutes. Here’s my thing with this, he starts it off by acting like it’s a huge deal only to then come around the 4 minute mark to say “well here’s why I don’t think it’s concerning”. Guys it’s January. The portal is coming to a close and there’s not going to be much news items for TN football. The media needs a story to sell and what better than “the star QB’s family at odds with coaching staff” as a headline? That said, I love what he says around the 5 minute mark. If Nico is elite, TN will either pay him more or he’ll go to the NFL; if he’s meh, then they’ll let him walk and we have good talent that’ll be ready. Nico is a great player, but we all need to stop acting like he’s a god of football. The kid has a lot of development that’s needed in the passing game and, to be frank, leadership skills as well.
He’s not as good as he thinks he his and differently not worth what he’s getting imo.A lot of QB's look a whole lot different if you start hacking into their stats from productive games. Hopefully it was a talent/play calling issue that slowed production in SEC play and it gets worked out. He can make any throw when he isn't hearing footsteps as soon as he steps on the field.
