Recruiting Football Talk VIII

It's astounding how bad your takes can be. It's one thing to have a preference for marinated, cheap steak; but it's another to say completely false things like this.
Dont you think that for the lay, weekend griller - or even experienced foodies - one's opinion is true. According to them?

So, to say an opinion is completely false is, well...wrong. NY Strip is a last resort.

Not a fan. Had it most expensive restaurants in biggest Cities. I'd put it along side skirt steak.

Would be fantastic, in a fajita.

I don’t get it. The NFL rolls the bones on AR then does a 180 on Milton when they have similar athleticism and Milton actually showed improvement. The only thing that makes sense to me is that the NFL believed the coaches at Florida were trash.
Im with you. The only argument that supports AR is age. He's 22, which was Milton's age when Hooker took the job from him. He might be a little further along in development but it's the NFL so he has about a year and 6 games to put it together, where Milton's career just started.

No. I don't. It's a fact that sirloin isn't as tender as strip. That's just a fact. It can be physically measured.

You can have your opinion that gross marinated steak is good, that's an opinion. But saying things like "sirloin is more tender and has more flavor, strip has to be tenderized" is flat out wrong.

Yeah but getting drafted high does matter. Brady or not, teams don’t like justifying sitting guys they’ve paid a lot for and they give those guys more development and chances because of that. A guy like Milton is going to have a hard time ever getting a chance barring disaster. He will do well if he can carve a career similar to Dobbs but even that will be hard.

I'm not sure who's doing the measuring here. But, would argue this all day long. Some people may not agree, others might. If NY Strip is on the menu, i'm going Chicken, or, Salmon.

If you get on the field quick you have to play at a high level quickly. You get your chance quick, but teams will move on quickly.

worked in restaurants half my life, serving, cooking, prepping, eating.

well marinated sirloin is much better than ny strip. i've tried, even at nice restaurants. not my jam
I just love steak...whatever I can afford at the time, is the best to me.

I am not turning up my nose at a well prepared sirloin.

Right but you also get a chance at a ton of guaranteed money that you might not ever be able to equal if you spend your entire time fighting for a roster spot. If AR is completely out in 2 he still goes home with more money than someone like Dobbs or Milton.

We are on the same page. Give me the opportunity and give me Caleb Williams 25 Million signing bonus. If it doesn't workout in the 3 years maybe you will get a chance at a second team like Justin Fields in Pittsburgh.

I was talking more about ARs ability to perform at a high level vs Joe Milton's.

Ok coffee preferences for everyone?

I like black (Americano for my snobs) medium blend. Starbucks is too bitter.
anything but hotel coffee or kcups.

Kcups are the Bose speaker to the coffee world. Creamy buttery sound engineered in a lab, that's not what the sound really is. Its what they think it should sound.

Cappucino, espresso, Americano, Medium Roast, even Banana Blueberry Coffee from Coffee Company...vanilla bean from Vienna. Drip, pour over. 👍🏻
