Recruiting Football Talk VIII

The Vols will finish 6-7 down the stretch. Possibly 7-6.
I think worst case scenario we go 7-6, realistically 9-4-losing the road games and uk beating us at home, best case 11-2. It is alarming the way we’ve been playing recently, going 2-2 in the last 2 weeks with loses by 30 to uf and a sloppy loss to vandy

Auburn beat a ranked UGA on the road without their best player. Bama beat UK at Rupp. Xavier beat #7 Marquette on the road. Perdue beat a ranked Oregon on the road. Creighton beat ranked UCONN on the road. Wisconsin beat USC on the road.
You have to find a way to win games like Vandy, even on the road. Simply saying 'we'll get them at home,' is a bit dismissive.

I think the team will be fine, and yes they are still learning how to win. This is really their first season playing together, learning their roles. That said, if Lanier is that guy. He has to step up and be that guy.

Really need both he and Millicic to step up big in these next few games. It's easy to question the roster, and makeup. But, if anyone can set things straight, it's Barnes.

I see it is as absolutely not as bad as it seems, and absolutely not as good as it seems. Were we #1? No! Are we #25? No!

Somewhere in between.

I see 10 wins, and three losses. KY, FL, Bama, or a Missouri-Aub trip up. 10-3.

After they lost Estrella CRB relegated Millicic to being a #4 and #5 - which dropped him out of a primary scorer role. I love CRB, but that is a mistake if it continues. Sub Phillips in for Okpara and run a two #4 D and O. They need Millicic to do his thing offensively for Lanier to be able to have room to shoot since he sucks a creating O on his own.

that makes a lot of sense actually.

the crappy thing is now the book is written on how to defend Lanier. Period. I mean he just wasnt going to take a shot.

Concerning, indeed. But he can shake it off.

Lanier’s weakness was always not being able to create his own shot. That was discussed before he transferred. Yet, he still went 4-6 from 3 yesterday because he has a quick release. He isn’t much of a slasher either. He just needs to handle the ball better.

My heating pump/ac unit IDK what it's called went out and while I wait for the $7200 replacement -_- I have never smelt anything from my wall unit I'm using. I'd get it checked just to ensure safety. I'd prob add a carbon monoxide alarm too. I guess I got lucky to have the natural gas hooked up in this house I bought too.
As others have said, don’t mess around with a gas leak. At our gym myself and another coach kept saying we smelled gas, gas company finally showed up and found 4 different leaks👀 The only thing that saved us was that the building is so old and drafty, that gas could not accumulate in sufficient enough quantity to pose a threat.

Anyone with a gas fireplace, I’d appreciate some insight here.

My family and I just purchased a home with natural gas and one of the perks is a gas fireplace. I’ve only ever grown up with a wood burning one, so this is new to me. We’ve had the pilot lit for a few weeks now but I occasionally smell a slight propane-type smell in the living area where the fireplace is. Is this normal? It’s not a strong smell as if propane were leaking into the room, but it’s definitely noticeable. And I wouldn’t say it’s every day, but still enough for me to have a concern and ask anyone who may know.
