Once they changed their scheme post-Michigan, they've torn it up. We had no chance to know what was coming. Oregon had at least 1 game of tape, didn't help. And it took Texas to have enough film on it to even have a chance by triple teaming Smith...and still lost by 14 with a ton of penalties killing OSU all game like you said.

Yeah OSU had idk how many drive killing penalties and they looked shook by it. They had penalty problems all year sans the UT and OR games. Probably why they aren't undefeated.

Totally different game if OSU is penalized 14 times against us. Notre Dame sure as heck needs some help like that tonight.

I feel like the OSU loss broke people's ability to properly assess our team. They were the only team that could do that to us and the only reason they did that to Texas was because of all their penalties. We were in the playoff for a reason.

I agree, the reasons we were in the playoffs was our DL was the best in the country and Sampson was the best RB in the country (including Jeanty) and the SEC was so bad that our poor offensive play didn't bite us more than once (Arky). We won't have the best DL in the country and we won't have Sampson. And the SEC won't be as bad as it was this year.

And we still haven't proven we can play decently on the road against a decent team. So we'll have to beat UF or Bama on the road. And we'll have to avoid dropping one we shouldn't at all, and we'll need to beat UGA. I just don't see that happening.

I remember one pass, he released the ball and Marvin Harrison made 2 breaks in his route while the ball was in the air and the ball was right on the money. Those guys worked tirelessly on their timing. That’s one of the most important things that made Peyton great imo, the preparation.
