Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Really great hire by Johnson. Diggs loved Al Harris actually wanted Harris to be DC last season.

You think Witt ends on the staff in some shape or form next season?
Thought you meant WHITT with the Commanders for a sec. 😅 Depending on the on-field fortunes and where he’s at with his family. One of his sons is a 5 star linebacker in the 2027 class. Doubt he makes any bigger moves until after…if then. He built that Argyle program from nothing to state champ in record time and just hired Khalil McKenzie as assistant and recruiting coordinator. Need to remember his grandfather (and paternal figure in his life) was a longtime success in the high school ranks in Elizabethton. What he witnessed may be the definition of career achievement in his eyes vs joining the rat race.

Umm broome or no broome need them ready to go to steal a W down there
Very, very unlikely. Pearl will have that place on fire. I just hope we don't get run out of the gym ala UF. Not looking for a win, but I'll be curious to see which of our players embrace the challenge and if any wilt under the pressure. Would love to see Lanier and Igor really step up tonight. Would bode well for the rest of the season if they did.

One thing that made the 2022 offense so productive was not having to worry about the OL protecting, at least 1 side with DW.

Not worrying about the OL frees up formations and allows backs out of the backfield, which then opens up coverages for the WR.

Fixing the OL is much more integral to TN’s success than overpaying for a WR in the portal IMO

Only one Head Coaching vacancy left. New Orleans has Mike McCarthy written all over it...

If Gainey and Milicic both don't play tonight, I would assume Cade would get the start tonight and that would leave us a two man bench of Dubar and Boswell. Which means Ziegler will have to stay out of foul trouble because we will need him to play the whole game.
Just read that Broome may play tonight for Auburn..

Such a crazy injury. Didn't look like a tackle that would have caused an injury.
The way his entire leg rotated with the tackle tore his hip’s labrum. But more importantly disrupted the blood supply to the head of his femur that resulted in avascular necrosis (bone died from no blood supply). Eventually led to needing a hip replacement.

Avascular necrosis is typically very painful and makes it difficult to function normally.

Was essentially a freak injury that led to the end of his athletic career.

We might be cooked then, no way we get a favorable whistle tonight. My pat-dar is going off
