For all the discussion about coaches making millions and being able to leave jobs, this is what is different than the players. At the end of the day, coaches still have contracts that have to be dealt with. They have buyouts or the schools negotiate extensions. Players sign something that only benefits them because they can just get a deal from someone else and move on with no ramifications. It's a mess.

This is going to be unpopular and maybe illegal but teams/NIL deals are going to need a penalty attached. If you leave/transfer, then all monies you or your “team” have received must be paid back before you can transfer. Coaches have a penalty(buyout) paid by them or their new team, so, do the same to players. Something has to be done.
