Recruiting Football Talk VIII

He was never the best hitter. And he is a cheater. Just like Sosa, Canseco, McGuire and many others. See this is what you don’t get. The substances Bonds and others used weren’t around when Hank Aaron set the home run record. They were kit around when Ruth hit 60 home runs and drove in 158 RBIs. These substances were not around when Ty Cobb hit .400 in back to back years.

When you cheat it sullies the game of baseball. It forever tarnishes whatever you accomplished. Bonds deserves zero credit for whatever did after he started cheating. And he never deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. If Pete Rose can’t get in then neither should Bonds. Pretty sad that you have the attitude oh well because some other guys cheated donut was ok for Bonds. lol. Give me a break.
Amphetamines were rampant in MLB for decades. Cobb and Ruth also played against only white dudes. Tough to compare guys across different generations of the game. Bonds was arguably the best of his time pre-roids.

Baseball was more fun but yeah, agree.

How many pitchers were using also!
Many pitchers were. It’s only logical, and we know of multiple; Clemens, Pettite, Kevin Brown, Chuck Finley, and others.

You’ll never convince me that Pedro wasn’t using PEDs, when his numbers spiked out of nowhere in ‘97-‘02 during the juiced height.

Randy Johnson (at the tender young age of 35) went absolutely Supernova in ‘99-‘04.

Also don’t believe for one second that Albert Pujols was clean. No effing way.
