Did you see fanduels bet prop for any team to break the 117 regular season win record dodgers were +680 every one else like 4000+ and up i don’t like it though…any team winning that much through the regular season flames out when it comes to the playoffs …still wild to see though

Dodgers just swept the Cubs in the Tokyo Series without Mookie and Freddie playing. Dodgers have a shot a winning 117 games this season.

But he was asked directly today, by a reporter, if he'd talked to NC State. You'd rather him lie, or give an evasive answer that would amount to a lie, instead of just saying "Yeah, my people have talked to them?"

If their players are going to give no effort just because their coach is leaving, then they don't deserve to win anyway. I highly doubt that will be the case.

That answer would just confirm that there was something to the reports but he was being evasive, and be even more of a distraction. He might as well just come out and say it.

That’s easier said than done. Coaches can be put in tough spots, but if a school really wants them, they could wait a few days. It’s really about the coach’s mind being in the right spot preparing for a game. McNeese gave him a chance again.

As my dad used to tell me as a manager, if someone took another job, there wasn’t 2 weeks. They got a check and cleaned out their office that day. A lame duck employee doesn’t help you.

I agree, but he was put in a tough spot because he was asked directly by a reporter about it today. His options are 1) to be up front about it, 2) lie about it, or 3) refuse to answer, give an evasive answer or a non-denial denial, which makes it an even bigger story.

For all we know NC State was probably OK with all of this being announced once McNeese's season is over, but someone probably leaked it and he was directly asked if he had talked to NC State.
