TL;DR incoming

I’ve learned a lot (God has shown me a lot) in the last 5 years about being a better person, and I still have a way to go. I’ve always been respectful (have NOT always made the right decisions and have done some bad things along the way that hurt myself and others, but that’s a different story) and thought I was kind, but my eyes have been opened to more. The little things we do or don’t do make a difference. I believe that any time I am out in public it should be obvious that I follow Christ. From opening the door for a stranger, to showing kindness to that wait staff who is having a rough day and messed up my order, even the way I drive and the way I post on Volnation (which has been a struggle for me. I have always had a sarcastic nature and my volnation posts definitely fall short of who God wants me to be).

When I drive, do I give people grace and let them in line, or do I run up on the bumper of the person in front of me? A can say that’s a work in progress because I have little patience for people who drive stupid, but I’m getting better about just relaxing, slowing down, and backing up.

When I post on volnation do I allow others their opinion even when I think it’s a bad take? Or do I ridicule them. I STRUGGLE with that one.

If more of us, self included, could do what Jesus said, and put the feelings of others before our own, the world would be much better place. That goes against our very nature. We are a self centered bunch of flawed humans.

One last story I will try to make quick.

If you’ve ever been to Lambert’s restaurant in Gulf Shores, you know you’re looking at minimum 1 hour wait to get in. Last time we went we got seated right before a party of 5-7 people and the guy “leading” that group immediately told the waiter how big of a hurry they were in and let him know his expectations lol.

1. If you have time to wait an hour to get in you should have time to wait on your food.

So the young waiter is immediately stressing and starts bending over backwards to accommodate this man. Each time he comes to their table the man cussed him because he didn’t do something right or quick enough. The waiter was very obviously going out of his way to accommodate but nothing was good enough. As that party was finishing their meal and cussing the waiter for not getting the check to them quickly enough, he finally had time to take our DRINK order. Mind you we sat down just before the other group.

Man I felt awful for the waiter and it was all I could do (and my wife telling me to stay calm) not to say something to that man.

Never be THAT guy, who everyone looks at and thinks “what a jerk”. Be the person who gives kindness even if your waiter/waitress is having a bad day

Couple of things come to mind…
1. The rider didn’t have pedal assist engaged. In this case, e-bikes are heavy. Get it up to get it on.
2. The rider is training, deliberately staying in higher gear for development of strength, skill, technique, stamina.

I will be a wreck by game time, but I gotta trust these Vols and the seniors leading them. Also, my daughter has dance competition tonight so I will be in the awkward spot of checking scores and deciding to watch based on outcome, or waiting until nearly midnight to watch the game because the awards presentation is not until 10. So you may or not see me post too much. Not sure yet.

OH has a paracentesis at UT hospital today. So I’m definitely a bundle of nerves. Paracentesis should be good though. I’m just nervous because they’re taking him down and back by EMS because his mobility isn’t back yet.

He’s scheduled for 3pm and I’ve jokingly told him that if they bring him back during over time or another crucial moment he may find the door locked.

Saban would definitely have hired him and I think a lot of programs would want him as DC. IDK that anyone would hire him as HC. He’s too stupid for that role.

Agreed Ole miss and mi st are going to be closest. UK and Tennessee close behind. I think auburn handles Michigan. Purdue is overrated, had a super easy path to get here. Houston handles them.

This is why you don't hire a gump. Pruitt tanked us and it was a miracle we made out as light as we did because the NCAA is neutered now.

And now Pruitt is trying to tank us further, implicating Fulmer and the athletic department for systemically violating NCAA rules.

But of course he won't say anything to hurt UGA, Bama, or FSU and all the payments he facilitated while he was there.

I’m no lawyer but he lost that battle in court. He can’t use anything systemically towards Tennessee anymore. The inner workings of the school and how we paid, got recruits. All he can do now is try to prove that the ncaa and Tennessee agreed behind doors to make cornbread go away. He’s really only hoping for “hush or go away money”.
