Exactly. He’s a true freshman. Wouldn’t you rather have someone that has some college experience taking snaps if Nico were to go down? Hey, if Merk beats him out of the competition as number two, then that’s great. It is honestly a win-win… He gets to come here and learn for a year under Heupel. If he does great and develops and we need him, then that’s a win for us. If he improves, but we don’t need him and he wants to move on, then he was able to be developed for the next stop by one of the best in the business.

I will reply to my own post to add to it… Here’s the other thing about arch being a win-win situation if it was to be true, this is a new age of college football. We are in an even more difficult and physical conference now and we are going to play more games if we are expecting to be in the playoffs. With all of these physical games and Nico’s style of how he runs the position, the chances are probably greater than 50% that he gets banged up and we will need a few snaps from someone. Would you guys feel warmer and fuzzier with it possibly being Arch or a true freshman?

No, he’s not. He is a true freshman. He came here because he wanted to be developed by one of the best in the business. He will still get that. He knows his snaps will hopefully be limited his first year and maybe even his second year. At least I sure hope they are limited, because if they are not, that means Nico is injured.

Evening walking 1.5+ miles to and from the stadium, parking is still horrendous as it is. Imagine when G10 wont be there anymore, that’ll displace a lot of tier 2 parking pass holders

Part of the requirement is to replace the G10 parking amount. So it’ll be that + what they need for the development.

After all is said and done, I believe Igor will be the best portal addition for the basketball team.

Igor by all means is no KD, but physically he is the closet CRB has had at Tennessee. Igor can shoot the 3 ball decent , take it to the rim easily and can make contested shots.

Every report I have read coach Assistant Coaches Rod Clark is really impressed how good Igor is.

Nico also will be THE guy getting THE reps with the first team wideouts this offseason which will only help. Also think another offseason and Nico will pick more things up than he did in Iowa game. The fact that Nico could do a lot better than he did against Iowa is scary

Agreed but the WRs still have to do much better. They dropped a lot of easily catchable balls last year. Yes Milton put plenty of passes where they couldn’t catch them but he also made quite a few good throws that were dropped.

Yea he regress last year after playing well off the bench in 2022. I thought we should have played Thornton in his spot some instead of inside at the slot.
