The Honors Course…and AV confirmed he knew his stuff. If memory serves me correctly, they mostly verified his knowledge about a local prestigious golf club or something like that. I remember he said something about a bartender and then ATL, I think, confirmed the name was right. But other than that, most of his stuff was absurd and read like an old crime novel.
Entertaining and a gigantic clusterf*** for sure, but I don’t know if I’d say MIT is the reason it was all brought to light. That’s a bit of a stretch! The Honors Course…and AV confirmed he knew his stuff.
I’m not a conspiracy theory guy. But our program was a mess, and it was entertaining, There was some agenda behind it.
Jon Currie tried to use Gruden as a smoke screen. What a cluster! Who does that?Entertaining and a gigantic clusterf*** for sure, but I don’t know if I’d say MIT is the reason it was all brought to light. That’s a bit of a stretch!
Aside from Hamilton, Currie may be second as worst AD of all time. And I believe AV left because a few newbs called him out thinking they knew what they were talking about, and he got tired of it. Or I think that was him. There was another similar poster who left around the same time whose name I can’t think of, but that’s because I always liked AV more.Jon Currie tried to use Gruden as a smoke screen. What a cluster! I trust AV. He left for a reason, but he knew things. MIT came and went.![]()
Beaver was spreading his stuff and several on here called him out. So he said to ask AV about the name of some bartender around town that only those in the know (ie more affluent than the rest of us) would recognize and AV confirmed the name was legit. However, to my knowledge that’s all AV confirmed, I don’t recall him ever saying the other stuff Beaver was saying was accurate. But someone can correct me on that point.I didn't remember this, give me the details.
Currie wasn't allowed to do his job during the hire to replace Butch. Mullen was the obvious first call, and when that didn't work out he was railroaded into Schiano. By the end of it, he was going to hire Leach before he was fired. I don't think Leach would have been as good here as Heupel has been, but he absolutely would have been a hell of a lot better than Pruitt.Aside from Hamilton, Currie may be second as worst AD of all time.
