Honestly, not sure I'd say Dan Hurley is the best coach.
You walk into a sleeping giant blue blood like UConn where both previous coaches stretching back to the 80s have won National Championships. Not exactly an uphill climb.
He's currently 6th in winning % for former Head Coaches there too.
Back to back National titles so he is without question in the discussion...but other than the titles I'd say Kelvin Samspon is hard to argue against, especially considering he's built Houston into the brand it is.
Mark Few when/if he can ever win it all will cement himself as one of the best as well.
Last 3 years, sure it's Hurley...but before 2022-23 he wasn't really doing anything.
