So he worked for a site then kept calling after he quit? That's what got everyone worked up? Doesn't seem that big a deal to me. The letter thing was a little creepy. Interviewing recruits doesn't seem so horrible, not to the extent people on here talk about him anyway.

Dude was weird. No bones ab it

I think he is harmless and seems like a nice enough guy. But you can't do that crap man. That hurts the program. Plus, it is taking advantage of the kids via deception.

LWS on TOS said he believes big money is on the table for the next coach...if they can get the right big name coach to come for that money. IE they won't just throw big money at anyone.

He said he never thought in the past TN would do this, but it finally seems everyone is on board with this. He said he expects a new football coach in 2013 and we are ready to pay to get a big time coach.

Hope it comes true.

OCI joined in Aug 2010. Sab posted until 02/2012. Doubt they are the same unless two accounts were in existence at the same time.

Keep your eye on the ball.

He is solid D coach, to me the Nebraska job is like Nick Saban's Michigan St. job. Preparing for the big leagues. I was kind of letdown when Bo left. I would take him back in an instance, still fairly young as well with tons of experience.

How is one of the top 5 winningest programs ever not a big league job? You cant compare coaching at Michigan St. to Nebraska. Bo would not be the answer for UT. If he cant get it done in the Big 10 with all the resources he has available, how will he get it done at UT in the SEC.

Bo is solid but he would not be at the top of my list. But that job is not that great anymore. They have worse recruiting grounds than Tennessee and they have never had great success without the option.

He likes Bo Pelini that's it. No harm no foul. He's not coming to UT so I don't care.

For some reason, LWS has been way off on this situation for the past month. He's finally getting accurate information.

From Rivals -

S Daejuan Funderburk, Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy (2014): Funderburk is a surefire safety with great speed, explosiveness and athleticism. He covers a ton of ground in the secondary and has great balls skills. As he continues to learn the game, Funderburk will be able to read and react faster and work better in coverage. Physically, Funderburk stands at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds and has room to grow, which is a scary concept for receivers because he is already a big hitter. Already holding offers from Tennessee and Georgia Tech, Funderburk is sure to get plenty more.

I just realized that VA Tech may not make a bowl this year. Is Frank safe for sure, or is he another who might be a bit of a hot seat/might conveniently retire after this year?

:Larry knows the boosters well, but he and many others lost their UTAD insider access with the retirement of several old guard members of the UTAD upon Dave Hart's arrival at Tennessee.

Dave Hart has cut off the sources of leaks and is extremely tight lipped about what he is thinking.

The boosters are where 90% of the rumors get started. In the past 2 weeks boosters have mentioned many many coaches like Gruden, Mullens, Malzahn, Davis, Tubbs, Golden and the list goes on and on. Not 1 of those guys will be here if changes arent made up top and finally people are excited that changes may actually happen this time.

I dont think anyone knows what is going on other than Hart and Gilbert, maybe Blackburn. The most damning thing for Dooley imo was the Bama game, Hart was over heard stating we're no closer than 3 years ago as far as competing with elite teams.

But who else in the SEC or the nation for that matter is?

LSU may be the closest.

I really hope you don't think Bama is unbeatable. Seriously Florida would shut Bama down but I don't know if they would score enough. Georgia can and I think they will beat Bama in the SECCG. Texas A&M will hurt Bama this week with their offense. Will be a dangerous game for Bama. Wouldn't surprise me if they were upset.

Florida, Georgia, LSU, and maybe South Carolina (with Lattimore) can compete with Bama. I think A&M will give them a scare this weekend, although I don't really expect them to win.
