he should be fired tomm let the knew coach have sometime to recruit

foley gave zook the boot on a sunday zook with 4 games left

Who announces coaching change first? I think AU.

Good question. I think UT. AU has a tricky situation with all those recruits. You guys have to handle it daintily, we don't have a lights out recruiting class locked up that be need to preserve.

Since you guys seem more sensible about things over here than on the rumor thread i heard i tiny bit off smoke today from my uncle who lives in knoxville and is friends with bill haslam. I posted the info over on the rumor thread but everyone is so busy arguing that it didnt matter or the fact that i have like 4 posts pro made the biggest decision for most people over there but its whatever i understand that no one is going to listen to the new guy. My uncle told me today that the boosters have stepped up and this has nothing to do with hart and that they had already had a agreement with gruden. this is nothing new of course but i just thought i would share and see what you guys thought. I was worried during the week because all the gruden talk and info had died down a bit. that is understandable i think though, but after talking to my uncle today i feel very confident that this is going to happen one way or another. I dont want to stir anything up but i just thought i would let you guys know what i have heard even though i am the newbie or whatever you want to call me. On another note I was wondering by any chance how many of the defensive players have been exposed to the 3-4 defense before coming to tennessee? for example in highschool or JC?

I feel so dumb for having argued certain things and propping up this coaching staff earlier in the season.

Sure, I was on the change bus after Miss. State, but I really want us to win out. Its so hard to to see that happening now.

This is simply unacceptable. I don't even know what to think.

I was just letting you know what i had heard. You can take it for what its worth. i am simple bringing things that i have heard to the table that is all. Is that not what the internet forums are for? I guess maybe i was wrong about that? I will say nothing else about it on this thread. but the second part is a serious question and obviously you don't know the answer to it.

We can only hope! I hope you're right!

You may be right. While agitated Chizik has not been replaced, most realize a change will most likely not happen now until final three games are done. I know the pups and bammers will hand us our ass, but I don't think we fire Chizik and staff until new coach is named and hopefully hold onto some recruits.

I think Jay Graham would surprise some people. Can't get any worse.

Exactly my thought. As you saw today, a lot of fans seem to be staying home until Dooley is let go. The AD is losing millions with the empty seats.

I feel pretty confident that the AD wouldn't lose near as much $$ in the next two home games if they'd announce that Dooley is out & name J Graham interim coach whether he's qualified or not. More of those empty seats would be filled knowing DD is out & a former Vol is in charge for the time being.

It really can't get much worse. JMO

The good news...

We will not face a better offensive team until possibly a bowl game.

More good news...
Our defense literally cannot get any worse.

Therefore, I still say we win out, with mizzou my only concern. Don't anybody start any vandy crap...

Mizzou and Vandy should beat us.

Personally, I think a lot of fans are fair weather, and will sit home regardless of a firing because they are disappointed with the season.
