It can't get much worse, but I don't know if an interim would put an appreciable number of extra butts in seats. I just don't see people going "Jay Graham's in charge? Call the ticket office!"

That said, I don't know if an interim would really hurt much, at least as far as the game management goes. Dooley seems very disconnected from the flow of the game. Reminds me of a supervisor walking around a cube farm.

I think you just let it play out and make your changes after the UK game. Its easy to go ahead and start working behind the scenes if that's where they're headed.

Notre Dame is the luckiest damn team. How freaking overrated are they? Should've lost to Stanford & barely beat Purdue & BYU. Smh

Mizzou and Vandy should beat us.

Chavis, I'm not going to say definitively that you're right, but the Mizzou and Vandy games are definitely toss-ups. Anyone who argues differently has not been watching this team this season. To be honest, I'm not so sure the Kentucky game is a given either, and I thought that before Troy (definitely think it now). We'll see how it goes. I'm just ready for this to end. It's going to end. Let's just see it through. Flame at me if you want, but it's true. Let's just all deal with it as best we can. It hurts me, but I know it's true.

Exactly my thought. As you saw today, a lot of fans seem to be staying home until Dooley is let go. The AD is losing millions with the empty seats.

I feel pretty confident that the AD wouldn't lose near as much $$ in the next two home games if they'd announce that Dooley is out & name J Graham interim coach whether he's qualified or not. More of those empty seats would be filled knowing DD is out & a former Vol is in charge for the time being.

It really can't get much worse. JMO

UF didn't have a sold out crowd today vs Mizzou. With big flat screen tv's, more fans are staying at home.

Get a grip? I'm sorry you still haven't realized just how bad we are.

The difference for me is how our offense performs, especially against lesser competition. Bray was killing USCe and wore out Troy today. Maybe Mizzou is a toughie. I have not seen a lot of them, but a USCe type offensive gameplan would work well, IMO.

I think Franklin is ridiculously overrated as a coach. Vandy does not impress, nor scare me at all.

We could argue it all day. That's my opinion

I understand that but do you think there would've been as many empty seats in Neyland today if the majority of the fanbase wasn't calling for the coach's head?

Mizzou and vandy have way better offenses than Troy. You are delusional.

Not that I need to tell you, but if you ain't SEC, you ain't nothing these days! Things haven't always been that way, and things will most likely change again at some point, but for now, it's SEC or go home.

Florida fans are Florida fans. UT is different. It's a real fan base we have here...provided we have something to halfway believe in.

I don't think that many people sat on their tickets to make a statement.

I just think the majority didn't see it as something that wasn't worth their time, money, and effort today. Which actually should be a little bit more worrisome to the UT admin, IMO.

It was a poor crowd, and the remainder will be poor crowds whether Dooley is gone or not.

If Bray brought his Akron performance we lose today because of our Defense.... That's a problem.

We needed every bit of his performance today.... Vs Troy.

I think it will be close. We are turning into a Big 12 team, slinging the ball around, giving up 500+ yds of defense. At least we are through the toughest part of our schedule.

The reality is that our "hurry up" offense scores points quick, but it puts our weakest link back on the field. It's an endless cycle where we score, defense gets murdered, we score, and so on.

Have to make some changes Defensively or its possible we lose the next 2.

Troy
30.1 ppg
292.4 pass per game
167.3 rush per game

Vandy
25.4 ppg
211.3 pass per game
166.1 rush per game

Mizzou
22.4 ppg
189.1 pass per game
128.3 rush per game

Delsuional? How about you look at facts before you jump?

Vandy
Vanderbilt's victories have come against
Presbyterian (2-7)
Mizzou(4-5) without Mizzou's star Franklin
Auburn (2-7)
UMass (0-9)
KY (1-9)

Forgive me if they do not command my respect and awe.

If you take away the wins against Vandy's 3 worst opponents, a combined 5-25 record, they average a paltry 13.6 points per game.

Take away Tennessee's 3 biggest cupcakes, we still average 29.6 points per game.

Against the same opponents, how did each offense fare?
UGA
TN 44
V 3

FL
TN 20
V 17

USCe
TN 35
V 17

If I can't convince you Tennessee is better than Vandy... sigh.

Mizzou

Mizzou's victories have come against
SE Louisiana (2-6)
Arizona State (5-3)
UCF (6-2)
KY (1-9)

Two respectable teams.

I would say there are only two cupcakes on their schedules, (combined 3-15 record) so we'll take away those two games, and they average 15.28 ppg.

Against the same opponents, how did each offense fare?

UGA

Mizz 20

Mizz 7

USCe
TN 35
Mizz 10

Alabama
TN 13

I know our defense sucks, but there are valid reasons that I think we win both of these games.

I love stats that compare SEC schools to Sun Belt schools.

I thought you might go there. It didn't take much effort huh?

How bout this?

Troy scored 24 against Miss State who has been as high as 11 in the polls, though we all know they came back down to earth and will have a hard road the rest of the way.

Mizzou is averaging 11.75 ppg against ranked opponents

Vandy is averaging 11 ppg against ranked opponents

Troy is averaging 24 ppg against ranked opponents.

Troy averaging
422.5 passing against SEC this year
224 rushing against the SEC this year

Go ahead, another one liner should prove you are right.
