Thank goodness we won. If not the narrative Today would have been about a really really bad plan by Chaney. Only 17 pts against the leagues second worse rush defense with only 14 carries going to the RBs. Just a very poor plan for Chaney last night

Disagree. I believe Maurer just wasn’t choosing the run on the RPOs. I believe that was the biggest reason he was pulled from the game. When JG came into the game we had to throw the ball so we didn’t rush as much.

Kind of wish we could play MO before the bye. Seems like Vols have some momentum and Tigers are in a funk. I don't think they'll beat the Gators but it gives them another chance to get dialed back in.

I think we're banged up at the line of scrimmage and really need to get healthy. Especially after KY had the ball 47 minutes. I'm sure they are gassed. It's almost like playing a triple overtime game which usually doesn't end well the next week.

I agree with you on 18. I think that’s his biggest issue. He looks good throwing the RPO but it really isn’t an RPO at least in his mind

Agree. I think Maurer's injuries have him gun shy to run. He still needs to run, just avoid contact and get down or OB. The threat has to be there for the RPO to work. If not, it looks like the garbage Botch ran for years.

Bye week is at a really good time. Maurer was definitely rusty tonight. Still like the quarterback by committee. I think if one is off, bring in another. JG seems to do better when he's not the starter--maybe just a matter of getting the butterflies out..

JG played great, no doubt but if ky scores after that fumbled hand off you know where we would be right now. Luckily our D won the day. I think JG should stick to the "6th man" role. Its working.

Hell Maurer came a couple yards short of a first on 3rd and 22 running, i dont think he is gun shy.

I can't get believe how much better Warrior is playing. Everyone has known he has potiental, but its great to see how is living up to it. It is not only the interceptions. He had that great play where he ran through a block and tackled the ball carrier which stopped a long run. Warrior went from a UDFA to a 3rd round pick.

Guys and Gals what an amazing night! My first road game and took my 8 year old daughter. We had awesome seats! We were in the UT section in the first row! After the game the players came over. Brian Maurer, Quavarious Crouch, and Theo Jackson all gave my daughter gloves and towels! We walked out of Kroger with a win AND and 8 y/o who will NEVER forget this experience with our Vols! She hugged me while we were waiting for our Uber and said "Best day ever dad. Thank you so much". I love our program. Several others around us were all cheering and hugging after the stop on 4th down. I really think we turned a corner tonight. As a team, as a staff, and as a fanbase! It's great to be a Tennessee Vol!

Those are the never forget moments you two will talk about when she is 20 and 30. Just awesome.

He doesn’t have to run he can hand the ball off as well. There were times when the run was wide open but he went to the pass anyways.

For sure. That’s just I overthinking it in his part. I couldn’t believe he didn’t call a run.

Can we just ditch replay if they can’t consistently use the same standard? While Warrior “may” have stepped out, you couldn’t tell. How does that get reversed? It’s ridiculous.

Also, we get penalized at the end of the first half when the UK defender rips off Callaway’s helmet. Callaway dove another 6 yards, but they called it dead when it happened. Those 6 yards may have allowed Pruitt to try a FG instead of a Hail Mary. How is that fair that we get penalized for the defender ripping it off?

Yeah need Thompson and Too Too to get healthy. Although Thompson must of got injured in practice because he came out with a knee brace on and then rehurt his knee.

I hope the SEC had a better angle than the one we saw on Warriors Int return for TD. That call could have cost us millions in bowl money should we lose to Missouri. Similar to call against Vandy under Butch where there was no visible evidence of spot but they overturned it anyway. Cost us a bowl game.

sadly the throw was there if even a decent throw was made. That duck was inexplicably bad Thus the risk of playing an otherwise very dynamic player at qb. And I think Eddie went gunshy after that, for good reason.
