Fair point. In this case it shouldn't, but there are times it should. It's a pet peeve of mine (if you couldn't tell lol) how the polls and committees do rankings based on last year's results or how good we thought they would be in the preseason instead of going entirely off the current year's body of work.
So who are the four best teams in the country right now, irrespective of everything else.

Auburn will beat Georgia this weekend and eliminate them from the playoff talk. Remember, Auburn had an off week this past weekend. They are about to show everyone just how anemic the Georgia offense really is.

Would not surprise me at all. Tough place to play and best D in the league. Remember they held LSU to 21 points I think on the road.
Making Bammer giving up 46 all the more shocking. JJ was right, this isn't the old Bama team. Really really missing not having another Pruitt or Kirby type Saban disciple in the pipeline.

you guys vastly overestimate the benefit of a bye week.
Bill C. investigated it one year and it was worth 2.3 points over Vegas spread that year. Granted, small sample size. I also wonder how much bettors already factor it in (which would make it 2.3 + built-in market adjustment).

Might be better if one could poll the very best oddmakers at what a spread would be if they assumed no bye for either teams, then look at actual outcomes over a few years.

I also always think of 2015 vs Bama. We looked really fresh and they looked tired. We really did whip them all day upfront, but it's hard to imagine that wasn't a factor and we were that much better straight up. Bama had played like 6 or so games in a row before us.

There are a lot of titles that aren't on there for various reasons. Anything newer that might have a streaming deal somewhere else isn't on there yet.

-Quite a few older movies aren't on there (Mighty Ducks, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Dragonslayer, to name a few).
-Controversial titles like Song of the South aren't there.
-I'm sure there are tons of animated shows that aren't there.
-It doesn't have every Marvel or Pixar title either (Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Coco, Up).

Disney owns a lot of stuff, and a lot of that stuff isn't there, but it's easy to find lists of what is there, and I'm sure some of it will come on later, and some of it will probably rotate.
Incredible Hulk wasn’t done by Marvel Films iirc...could be wrong. I’m sure the missing Pixar films are upcoming. Maybe teasing future subscribers.

yeah I would like to look at the actual numbers. Just seems like a lot of times you hear about a team coming off their bye and it makes little to no difference. I guess you would also have to factor in if they were on a hot streak before the bye, etc.

Only reason I would subscribe would be if they revived the daredevil series from Netflix. They’d have me as a subscriber if they did that

Impossible to say, which is why I don't like the committees attempt to do that. You can only say which have the best resumes. I haven't researched it enough to say for sure, but the kind of logic I'd like to see the committee use is "which teams have the hardest SoS so far? (LSU, UGA), how have top teams performed against teams they should beat if they really are a top team? (Clemson barely beating UNC, OSU blowing out everyone, UGA losing to an awful USC). Which of the undefeated teams have the best wins (LSU, Minnesota arguably). I think that type of thinking would lead to better rankings.

At the end of the day, I think I would have to endorse that, even tho it likely puts bammer in the playoffs.

Really wish Ohio St could jump LSU in the polls so bammer would have to play somebody anybody to earn their rematch with the team that already beat them. I guess I have to be for aubie in the irony bowl.

"Pick of the Litter" is coming to Disney Plus as a new six part series. Okay...I'm in.

My mum actually gets her newest guide dog next month from the school that put out the documentary and this series. Wonderful organization.
