Oh they are getting in. That’s why they put Georgia in at 4 right now. It’s the best scenario. LSU beats Georgia and they will put bama in. Georgia beats LSU and LSU only loss is to the sec champion who gets in no matter what and they have a tie breaker head to head over bama

2 teams in = 12 million dollars. There's more reasons than just being in Birmingham the $EC did not want Bama to lose to us.

But honestly, they pick you. We must have taken 10 different dogs to the play are and she would reach over the gate as we passed. Finally took her and all doubt was removed.

I would never get over leaving them... I have a dog and 9 cats right now so my husband wouldn't let me go anyway lol.

I hope not. I know the pac 12 isn’t great but if they win out, beat Utah in conf champ and there only loss is week 1 to Auburn i think they should get in. To me, If go out of your way to schedule a big time ooc game, you should be rewarded.

The Pac 10 is not just "not great" they absolutely suck.

They will have to expand. 4 team has been great but it still leaves too much subjectivity like the BCS. My thought is 6 enough and is 8 too many? Need to have a slot for the random undefeated team like UCF IMO but at what point do we get too many.

8 is perfect...I have always wanted an eight team playoff..that would be fun. I have never understood people against an playoff. It is the surest way to have a true champion.

I agree with the playoff, the more I think about it I tend to agree about the 8.

Had to cross the northern state line this morning for work. Being in the presence of all these Cats fans after the past week they have had..... One can only describe the feeling as being at a funeral

I was talking trash with a co-worker a few minutes ago that was raggin on me for being a Vol, after a couple of back and forths she said "Tennessee sucks" and I simply said back "Evansville.."...so help me I kid you not her exact words were "We are just warmin up, gotta let the little ones go to catch the big ones later"..

I think D1 needs to follow the FCS format. If the season is too long then get rid of 1 or 2 OOC games

Last year shouldn't matter and even if it does Bama got waxed in the Natty. Bama shouldn't be gifted a CFP off of their reputation. The only good win they have a chance against is Auburn and I don't think Auburn is that good because they have a crazy good defense and not much on offense.

the thing i hate about that as a blanket statement is that not all conference champions are determined the same way, and i think devaluing the conf championships ultimately devalues the regular season, which has always been one of the primary strengths of college football. the drama that is created each week is that every single game matters.....the reward for winning the "big" game(s) on your schedule is the opportunity to win the conf and a natty.

take that away, and what happened last Saturday for LSU, Bama, MN, PSU....all the sudden really doesn't matter.....UGA losing to USCe doesn't matter.

i would really hate to see that happen to this sport.

i think the easiest way to fix this is do away with the committee and use the (or derivative of) BCS formula to seed the top 4.

i think most folks agreed with how the BCS ranked teams. the problem with the BCS was usually the gap, or lack thereof, between team 1 and team 4.

funny thing is when you run the BCS right now, it puts LSU, OSU, Clemson and Bama in the top 4, in that order. then Oregon, then Georgia. not all together different than what it is now, and most all the same scenarios still available for 4-6 that exist in the playoff.

The regular season is devalued because the other conferences suck so hard.

This is our dopey dog that chose us at the shelter a couple months ago. Had his DNA tested. 25% American Staffordshire Terrier, 25% Cocker Spaniel, 12.5% Boxer, 12.5% Doberman Pincer, 12.5% German Shepherd, and 12.5% Corgi. Not sure how the Corgi got in there but it just makes him a Tennessee Brown Dog!!
