I like it, That’s the way you want to trend. To think we could go 6-1 to finish the season after starting 1-4 is a testament to the players and coaches. Players are definitely buying in now and it shows. Gotta think the 2020 defense is gonna be one stout unit..

We need to blow the doors off some teams with some points. Want some of these skill players in high school to jump aboard.

My guess is Tua wanted to play to boost his Heisman odds, which had taken a big hit. His family supported that decision. Saban wanted to make the best possible case for getting that fourth playoff spot so he could chase another NC to beat the Bear's record. So everybody involved wanted to pad stats and run up the score as much as possible, knowing that doing so heightened the risk. In tempting fate to win, everybody loses. It's allegorical.

Reasons @InVOLuntary gave above. Although I don’t believe in style points. Saban isn’t dumb.
No, why do you think it was Tua pressuring Saban to let him play instead of Saban playing him so he could get a lot of points to help get in the playoffs over other 1 loss teams? I haven't heard anyone mention Tua doing that.

Lots of assumptions there

Seems easier for me to believe the ankle injury was a pain tolerance thing and doctors said the risk of further injury wasn’t any more than a normal game and let his pain be the guide.

If we win our last two games, which we have a good chance to then we will finish the regular season. If we do then we will finish with a 2 game increase in overall record (5-7 to 7-5) and a 3 game increase in SEC record (2-6 to 5-3) and also going from finishing last in the SEC East to finishing 3rd. Pruitt and this staff have done an outstanding job of coaching this season. I will admit that I was wrong about Pruitt and thought he was in over his head after how last season ended and this one began. That being said we still need to win these last two games that we lost last season but Missouri and Vandy aren't nearly as good as they were last season and I believe that we are much better than we were at any point last season.

Didn’t age well...
Rofl. The "right now" is even in the post that you quoted. As in based on current resume up to that point. Why do you like trolling so much? I'll never understand why people like you get so much out of being like that, especially when you're trolling a point you know full well I wasn't even arguing. You've shown you have the potential to be a mature and intelligent human on here, so do more of that instead of what you just did.

Can you guys and gals catch me up to speed on the UF/Mizzou game? I was out of pocket all day yesterday and didn’t see a single snap of football.
How did Mizzou look? Bryant’s hamstring?

No more assumptions than you-- or anybody else-- is making. The risk of further injury was there and Bama should have been able to win easily without Tua. Tua's health didn't have to be risked at all-- unless somebody thought there was something to gain.

I don’t know. Haven’t invested that much thought into it really.

The question is was the risk of injury more than normal?

None of us know that but assuming the kid wanted to play for an individual award is a little much for me. Maybe he just wanted to play with his teammates

Look for ESPN to continue headlining that ticker with every step of Tua's recovery. He has his own category-- Tua-- and only needs one name. It's a ridiculous obsession for a player who isn't winning the Heisman, isn't winning a national championship, isn't playing in the conference championship game, hasn't even beaten a ranked team this year.

It feels like irrational exuberance. The Bama crash is coming.
I hate the media hype machine, but I am fair enough to say I would love it if we were the darlings instead of the butt.
