Saban doesn’t care one iota about his players. It has shown numerous times over the years. It still amazes me why parents would want their sons playing for him. What if the bad ankle contributed to him breaking his hip? If he was a half a step slower and couldn't escape or even control how he went down, then it is on Saban. They could have beaten MSST with @Bassmaster_Vol behind center. He was a dumbass for even playing him one snap. He should have rested him for this game and the next (Western Carolina) and given him three total weeks to rest and heal. There was zero reason to play him other than to try and impress the committee. He was selfish and now he's paying the price, well Tua is.
Wonder how bad it is? They're resodding tomorrow morning. Looks like the Knoxville weather will be warmer and wetter over the next few weeks, so maybe the field will be OK by Vandy. Don't need any injuries on SR Day.
They were in a position to let him play the 2nd and 3rd quarter and put in the other 2 freshmen in the 4th without losing a redshirt. If not for trying to run up the score more than Oregon or Oklahoma, that is what he would have done.Mac needed to practice live two minute drill more than Tua did for a just in case he has to play with the ankle injury to Tua. Was stupid to even have done that. Instead of Kirby dumb we had Satan dumb.
I disagree. He shouldn't have taken snap one. It wasn't a smart move. I felt the same way about JG. Didn't post it because I didn't want to come off as bashing Pruitt. I cringed every time JG took a hit. And that's taking into account playing a KY team that a win was crucial to us being bowl eligible. Bama could have easily beat MSST with their backup. He was trying to impress the committee and nothing more. Saban's excuse... "Needed to get him some more experience in the 2-min". That's ridiculous. Yea Tua has never been in the two min before.Anyone blaming a coach for playing a qb in the first half isn’t being realistic. Can’t expect a coach to pull his starters before halftime
