Saban wasn't. Pretty sure Dubose, hired in the mid or late 90s, was their last homer hire. Not exactly good memories there.

They tried every single bear guy in the world until it didn’t work

Anytime a legend steps down usually one of his coaching tree is hires unless there is some disgrace

@HankHill are teams still going to tank for Tua or do you see him slipping? I couldn't see him slipping past the 2nd round, that would still be a steal even if he had to sit a year.
How is it a steal? There is no freakin way I would take a chance on the glass man. Dude is extra fragile, and the hits just get exponentially harder at the next level...plus what can he do when he doesn't have a massive talent disparity over the opponent every game?

Other than Harrison Bailey and two or three others, I'm not liking this class very much. We seem to be struggling a lot more than past seasons except for the coaching change years.

Not at all panicking just making a personal observation and I know we still have a little time so don't give me sh** broskies

SMH..🤦‍♂️ It is subjective. I don't give a dang about stars or rankings much anymore. If Pruitt thinks kids can play, and they can make something from them...then that is good for me. I have been watching dudes that I thought would never contribute anything worthwhile making plays nearly every week.

I know it's the combo of that and some of the guys that seem to be wavering. Idk we shall see how it goes

I don't know what to think when it comes to star rankings anymore. Butch's last 2 classes were much lower ranked and then Doug Mattews. etc. claims they are a very underrated class and one of the best classes in recent years .. then they play so bad .. Butch is fired and Austin Price starts calling them paper 4 stars .. then midway through this year they start playing like Doug Mattews thought to begin with. I think it just may be S&C and Coaching. Who woulda thunk it?

I think 7-5 has us in either the Belk Bowl or Music City Bowl.

LSU will be in the playoff. One of UGA/Bama could easily be in the playoff and the other will probably be in the Sugar Bowl. Florida in the Outback Bowl. Then it’s between us, Auburn, and A&M. I vote A&M goes to the Taxslayer Bowl.
7-5 means we are 5-3 in SEC play. That will most likely give us the 5th best record. We would get the Taxslayer Bowl.

Question if the draft is whether Tua is Greg Oden or Drew Brees regarding his injury

Yep...and I am not saying that I don't want the obvious to everyone 4-5* talents...just that whoever we get, I am confident that this staff can get good play out if them.

Build it...and they WILL come.

Fiesta/Peach (playoffs): UGA or LSU
Sugar: Bama
Citrus: Loser of SECCG
Orange: UF
Cotton: A&M or Auburn
Outback: A&M or Auburn
Gator: Tennessee
If we finish 7-5 and things shake out the way I suspect with Auburn and A&M, I think we will get the Outback over them. They know Vol fans would pack that place.

Wow that's terrible. I also think King had a rough time according to his espn special. Can't imagine playing through the deep south back then when your best players are 2 new yorkers, 1 black and 1 jewish. Must have been funny as heck though when we were kicking all their butts 😂 Also pretty cool both chose to come all the way here and be Vols.

Ray Mears was a great coach and we had some really good teams back then.

We should be 7-3 😐
OJT is very real, and it was a dirty beyotch to us this year.
I knew there would be a steep curve, but not Georgia State steep, I guarantee you if he could get a mulligan he would have really treated that like a regular game instead of extra practice and evaluation week, play that game today and we roll them by 30.

Look...record didn't and still doesn't really matter this year as much as obvious and clear improvement, and development. You have to just be a contrarian jackass troll to not admit we have seen that in spades..across the board.
