SMH..šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø It is subjective. I don't give a dang about stars or rankings much anymore. If Pruitt thinks kids can play, and they can make something from them...then that is good for me. I have been watching dudes that I thought would never contribute anything worthwhile making plays nearly every week.
And I got tired of watching highly ranked players doing squadouche. I get ya!!!

It means we would be playing the coach lottery again...Sorry, but I am NOT down for that again. It is just too hard to find a good coach, and when you do find a good coach, then nearly everything has to go right for that good coach to succeed.

If Pruitt succeeds here, then I hope our oft stoooopid admin does whatever it takes to keep him. If that means paying WAY over market value to secure him...then the jerks better be ready to pay it. We can't let that hated garbage dump steal our soul like that.
If he gets us back to competing championships, there's no doubt we'll have to pay top dollar to keep him around. Same for his assistants. The only thing that's gonna change that is a collapse of TV money. That'll get everyone back in line.

I don't know what to think when it comes to star rankings anymore. Butch's last 2 classes were much lower ranked and then Doug Mattews. etc. claims they are a very underrated class and one of the best classes in recent years .. then they play so bad .. Butch is fired and Austin Price starts calling them paper 4 stars .. then midway through this year they start playing like Doug Mattews thought to begin with. I think it just may be S&C and Coaching. Who woulda thunk it?

That is not what was said on VQ but yeah, I know where that rumor keeps coming from.

VQ said Butch managed to get his top ranked classes by FILLING them out with paper 4 stars.
As in instead of taking 3 stars at a position of need, he would take 4*s that weren't being recruited by SEC teams, (lack of size, whatever),but made the class rankings, sparkle. Not the entire classes.
And most of those guys were lost to attrition.

That's the simple truth of what was said.

Soo...I really think this Mizzou game is gonna be too close to call. I hope it isn't one of those freaky "flood gates of months of pent up frustration breaks loose on unsuspecting visiting team" games. That is what Odom is hoping for....he is really tryng to rally the troops. I hope they are all ready to just go quietly away...but it would not shock me to lose this one. Mizzous defense is reeeaaallly tough. I hope one of the QBs is "on"...one of them will have to make plays to win this game.

I think it's another 16-13 type game also.

Other than Harrison Bailey and two or three others, I'm not liking this class very much. We seem to be struggling a lot more than past seasons except for the coaching change years.

Not at all panicking just making a personal observation and I know we still have a little time so don't give me sh** broskies

I'll agree in the sense that it isn't like Pruitt is just picking 3 stars over 4 and 5*s. We recruited a lot of those guys and they chose elsewhere. I don't blame Pruitt, seems we're one of the most negative recruited schools in the country and our in state loyalty sucks.

The flip side. Nothing is signed yet and Pruitt surprised the heck out of me closing last year.
And even if we have to make the climb with 15th ranked classes for now, I trust him to make those guys FB players.
But no denying the impact a Henry T makes. Hope we get a couple more.

Football is a physical sport and injuries are expected. His injury isnā€™t life threatening. While I absolutely agree that you hate to see anyone injured, it is a part of the game.

Tony Robinson goes down in Birmingham 1985. I was 12. My dad took me to that game. As we were leaving several Bama fans told me to keep shaking my shaker because we lost our best effing player. I witnessed how bad their fans really are. Also witnessed my dad run after a car that cursed us and threw something at me. Pops was pretty fast...

Same game some guy comes up to me in concessions line and says ā€œIā€™d rather have a sister in a whore house than a brother play for Tennessee.ā€ My dad grabs dude and says ā€œyouā€™re more likely to have the first.ā€

Trash fan base. Always has been. Believe me none of them prayed for Tony.

Most of them really dislike AA guys but like that they entertain and play for their pleasure.

Do we get their best shot, or do we get a ho-hum? That is going to be a big deal in whether we win this or not. I think we got UKs best shot, they were sky high for that game, and beat them anyway, but it very well could have been a loss.

Those who give their coaches the benefit of the doubt or ā€œtrust the coachesā€ have a bad habit of going all in without verification...myself included. On Pruittā€™s acumen I have no revisionist regret. After he offers a player, his stock goes to the roof. Our coaches know what their players look and move like and even when we think one was a dud move (like George) weā€™re proven wrong. Thatā€™s what I go with in my thinking. I understand differing views but they donā€™t change mine.

Think that was Atlanta Vol. And to be honest I don't think I buy that. The powers that be who might not like Pruitt will get over it if they think he can win at an elite level. Saban isn't exactly buds with the boosters down there. Boots Donnelly and a few others close to Pruitt have stated that he loves Alabama with every fiber of his being. Similar to the way Fulmer loves Tennessee.

Jeremy will go back there if given the opportunity. Itā€™s just the way it is.

Anyone blaming a coach for playing a qb in the first half isnā€™t being realistic. Canā€™t expect a coach to pull his starters before halftime

Youā€™re joking right?...lol did you not look at the score? And it was in the second quarter with that many points.

I feel the same. I really don't see how a really talented defensive kid..especially instate..could see what Pruitt is doing with these guys as far as increasing their next level earning potential...and not want in. Take HT for example, the kid was a true 5*, but Pruitt is wringing every last drop of those stars out of him. Barring injury he is a first round pick.
