Anyone who refuses to believe that is naive

Looking back, it appears you started this whole conversation. Basically no one argued with you, except McGill rightfully saying, try to keep him.

And after reading all your posts together, your main point seems to be "Pruitt is a Bammer."

But was there a larger point other than just the "Bammer Dave" esque stuff?

I agree. That’s why i don’t think it’s one of those jobs where people will be knocking down the door. You could legit go 9-3 the first two years and people will want to fire you.
Saban has made it an impossible job..really almost even for himself. The expectations there are insane.

I will say that the worst of the "bad" fanbases from my experience are the Gators...

My younger brother took our 70 year old at the time Dad went to the swamp a few years ago when they lived in T-Bay, and more than one idiot spit on my dad as they were leaving the game. My younger brother is not anything like me, he is smarter and just a real laid back quiet dude, and he just hustled Dad out of there as quick as he could...

I am glad I had to work and could not go that day...I would have been in jail for attempted murder. I hate all UF fans to this day because of that even though I know in my heart it was just a few dumb drunks that did not represent the entire fanbase...I mean what kind of lowlife spits on a frail old man? 🤬🤬🤬 My blood pressure spiked just typing this..🤬🤬🤬🤬
I have been to Gainesville 5 times to watch TN play and I have never had any problem with any of there fans. Heck, I would stop on the way to and from the game to have a beer with them. If our fans our polite no issues, when you show you a$$ that is where you have problems. Not say your family did just saying, I have never had a single problem with their fans.

I mean I wouldn't go down without a fight. I'd pay the guy whatever he wants but it isn't like Alabama wouldn't do the same. It wouldn't be about the money though. He'd probably crawl to Alabama if he had the shot.
You tell him whatever they pay, we will pay a lot more. It is not about the guy, it is about us. We deserve a "whatever it takes" commitment from the UT admin after all the 🐎💩 we have endured...

I don't think I could take the stupid Bubbas mocking me for taking our coach just because they are "The Mighty Crimson Tide"

The very though of that infuriates me..🤬

Not really. My main point is I think he'll be a serious candidate for that job in two to three years when Saban retires. In a way it will be nice because that means we're a powerhouse again.

My Dad and brother did nothing but wear Tennessee Orange.

If he does that to us...then I hope he destroys his career.

Even if LSU loses in the SECCG, I think they still make the playoff along with UGA. They’d be the best 1-loss team.
I think LSU would absolutely be most deserving based on what they accomplished against the strongest schedule. But I don't know what would happen. Nothing like that has happened to my knowledge.

That means we will be playing coach lottery again...and being humiliated on top of that. It sounds like a recipe for another decade of despair to me.

Really. Your main point is finding something negative to say about CJP. You've gone from he sucks to he's too good for us without ever setting foot in between.

Fulmer won't be the AD then either most likely. There's been a little talk of David Blackburn coming back for a role in Fulmer's AD. If that does happen I really hope he'll be Phillip's successor. If not, I'll be pretty uneasy.

Had the soft top on my Jeep cut up at the 62-30 whatever game in 95?/96?.

Classless fan base!

That's just false brother. I've always been confident in the direction I think Jeremy has this thing headed. It's not that I think he's too good for Tennessee. This is a legitimate top 10 or 12 job when everything is right. I just know how he feels about Alabama, and so do several others in the coaching fraternity.

No one is going to leave a current NFL job for Alabama imo. NFL jobs are so much better than college jobs now. That early signing day has made life miserable for coaches.
It needs to be changed back, I think. Was that a Saban initiated rule change to take advatage of their institutionalized advantage? Or how did it come about?

I hate talking to defeatist like you..I don't want to talk about this any more. Whoever the AD is, they better not treat us like crap. I can take a lot, but I can not take that anymore...just can not do it.
