Things truly were built different years ago. Can't tell you how many older houses I flipped that had working water heaters, garbage disposals, HVAC and so on, 10 - 20+ plus years old.

It was *relatively newer homes that I always expected to replace those items.
We've become a disposable society. Pun intended.

It’s my belief that things aren’t made as well now because companies want to make more money. The only way to do that is for their product to break at some point. Hence the society we live in today.

That's a big part, the other is Certain countries just don't make quality products.
We've imported for a while but the life expectancy of Levi's jeans or Direct tv receivers that were made in Mexico, averages almost double those made in China.

The real kicker, while many companies have found new ways to cut costs on products yearly, the price still increases yearly, as tho they hadn't.

It's ok. The big deal this year is a winning record in conference, if we can win out. Would tie the best single year since Fulmer. We'd go to the same bowl.

I was hoping we'd reach 7-5.
*If we get there, I just keep telling myself - if someone told me we would but I had to choose wins over SEC Mizzou and SC or BYU and GS?

It keeps me sane.

Weird, preseason the biggest concerns were OL and DL. Why I love CFB, never ceases to surprise.

Pshh..top coaches? Did you see that list of failed or failing, and fired coaches earlier? It was full of "Top Coaches"...I want no part of that losers lottery ever again...If Pruitt has it in him to fix this mess, then those SoBs better pay whatever it takes to keep him....there has to be a number that will suffice.

Like I said earlier...this would have nothing to do with him, it is about US...we don't deserve to be buffaloed by that garbage heap to the south anymore...I am sick if it.

Hope we go 8-5
10-3 would have been nice but I don’t see us better then that next year so possibly getting 6,7 or 8 this year is a nice climb up from hell which will make possibly 10 next year even sweeter
People would’ve been pissed had we won 9-10 this year and not got that next year
Everything across the board is steadily improving with positive influence around the program
2020 well show up on the radar
2021 will be our guns ablazin arrival

I concur. I'd be alright with 8-5 given how the beginning of the season shook out. Made the comment to one of my buddies that "I ain't gonna know what to do, it's been so long since the Vols were in a bowl game".

Ya gotta think that there'd be a couple of bowls that would probably fight over us......cause after this drought, Vol Nation is gonna show up and show out no matter where the bowl game is. I still want Texas in a bowl though, dammit.

The Tua stuff is already getting on my nerves. It’s everywhere this morning. I mean, I truly feel bad for the kid, I really do, but I feel bad for all players that have injuries, serious or not. Why is Tua so special? He isn’t winning the heisman, his team probably won’t make it to the playoffs, his team won’t win the conference, or even its division. The “prayers for Tua” and hourly updates and what not is ridiculous.

10-2 next year is possible depending how the chips fall. I think Oklahoma will be beatable. Georgia *should* be the best team in the SEC on paper. I'm not sure what kind of team Florida will field next year but seeing them against Mizz gives me some hope. I feel like Bama is starting to go downhill. Even so, they're still stacked.

Could be a good year for our Vols.

Watch the patriots get him at like 29 🙄.

If he can make a recovery this could be a blessing. Think of how much better off Lamar jackson has been since he fell to a well ran organization like Baltimore with two elite OLmen and a good coach. I don’t think he is having the success he is now if he is in Cleveland or new York.

Dolphins arent tanking directly on the field per se. they are tanking via the GM and roster moves. As a dolphin, I dont mind it. Better than middle of first round where it feels like an overdraft or a pick that has zero excitement.

Before the Magic game last night we went to a restaurant near the arena that was apparently the spot for the Bill's club. I was cracking up at how pumped they were getting by beating the dolphins. Imagine claiming your that big of a fan yet not realizing the dolphins WANT to lose this. smh.

Also had my anti bullying tee on and got on TV. Said nothing about the magic nor wizards. Just UT. "UT baby, we comin. Florida almost lost to Townsend at home."
