Update on J.J. Peterson…

"J.J. is a typical guy that’s highly recruited that people have unrealistic expectations on him. He got here in September. He played in four games on special teams. He had winter surgery and missed all of spring ball and summer. He’s had one fall camp. He’s doing a really nice job. He’s had some guys who have been ahead of him so he didn’t get quite as many reps. I have seen lots of improvement with him over the last 4-6 weeks

I'm excited about JJP now...I didn't realize he missed spring ball and only had one fall camp.

Course, if I'm fair he likely doesn't have those sort of setbacks had he put more effort into being in better condition when he showed up in September his first year here. But hopefully he's learned and grown from that, to be truly elite you can't just be talented you also gotta be an elite worker in all aspects. There isn't anyone "lazy" in the NFL, regardless of narratives. All of them are hard workers, some separate themselves though by being -the- hardest worker, and it's an every workout mentality.

Feel like that's something this staff gets better than any previous ones, and has worked hard to instill that mindset into the players. It's likely why JG separates himself over Maurer/JT even. I am positive Jarrett is the hardest worker in that QB room.

So basically Odom singled out Pruitt, and the reason he knew Pruitt was in contact was because he reached out to him to "establish reasonable restrictions", no rules were broken and it's Missouri's own fault for cheating. If anything it made Odom look like a d-bag. He didn't single out any other head coaches that were contacting those players, and we all know there were plenty that did.
Pruitt is going to unleash the beast on him Saturday night! Vols by 20+!

Nice. I like Baron a lot. I think he'll be on the line and not a true OLB, but who knows he may have enough athleticism they can turn him into another DT type player.

I liked this play we ran vs Kentucky. We picked on Ass (yes i meant that 🚮🚮) Daniels all night. High/low concepts like this have been our bread and butter as the season goes on. This play in particular is a 2 level read between the hashes (where JG has struggled this year so props to him). it looks to me like kentucky is supposed to be playing cover 1 with man underneath. Daniels is covering up DWA with outside leverage but he proceeds to lose his Fn mind and get turned for a loop lol .
But anyway on to the play.

Palmer and Jennings are stacked to the left which, most defenses are taught to expect a hi/low route combo when you see that. But instead we use DWA who is on the los at TE. This combo a lot of times is called “drive & dive”. DWA runs a deep cross or a poorly ran deep dig (could be either). He is doing this to “drive” the defenders in the middle back to open up a space for Jennings to “dive” underneath. This is almost like a vertical pick play. Really easy throw for JG too.
***also sorry about the quality. Every time i convert to gif to embed it lowers the quality. If anyone knows how to add videos straight from phone to here, I’m all ears.

You had me at Ass Daniels 😂😂

I would but he also can't stay healthy because he weighs about a buck 70 soaking wet.

I get that entirely but the kid just has a will to win,In time he will learn he doesn’t have to all of those things He’s done That’s gotten him hurt, understanding just To slide Would help lol..his injuries have been self injuries like his neck.Brian has taken shots and got right back up so I don’t question if he’s able to take big hits or not it’s just his own decision making that’s gotten him hurt.

🧡 hearing this. So glad our coaches don't give up on players.

🧡🧡🧡

Since it's such a slow day, I am going to ask for some advice on what I can get my son-in-law for Christmas. We usually give them money, but I like to get some things around $50 to unwrap. I always get him a Tennessee hat since he likes to wear baseball caps and says he is a TN fan even though he doesn't watch any games lol. He loves fishing, boating, hunting, riding his Razor, etc. TIA!
