3 or 4 posts over the past hour are calling him a verbal commit and now your post is calling him a signee.

I don't think Friend is going anywhere, he's a pretty solid recruiter too.

Rumph, Rocker, Sherrer, Weinke have been the weakest recruiters I believe.


Obviously Ansley/Nieds/Chaney aren't going anywhere. I'd like to keep YAC, but think he'll be targeted once again like he is every off-season. If Tee leaves, it'll be because Tee chose to leave he's not being sent packing.

The ESD that's not until December 18th? We didn't land Crouch or Henry or Wright until after Thanksgiving last year... I think Pane di mais is right that it's a bit early to panic.

There's way too much that we don't know that is going on, and way too many things that can happen with games to be played, recruits switching to different teams and which recruits pick where based on other recruits choosing which teams and coaching staff changes.

Bass said recruiter by results to present. And mine was a n explicitly hypothetical statement. I think it upped the ante. I think the WRs are noticeably better and better rotated since Tee moved to the sidelines, snd I've said so twice before this.

In no way shape or form do I want to lose Tee. I think he'll be fine recruiting. He is the lead recruiter for both Hyatt and Calloway, tho things not looking good with the latter there. Admittedly, I expected him to have more traction with elite prospects though.

Who said panic...See the word maybe. I don’t see a Crouch or Wright (top 30 player) on the radar this year. Anyone who doesn’t believe momentum into the early period matters is misguided.

We had momentum with big time guys, don’t see that momentum this year. Still think we have a top 20 class.

Nothing I have seen indicates that. We definitely wanted Rogers. We definitely want to keep Calloway. VQ mods have been consistent that Rybka was a priority. Ox and Baron are also priorities.

I hate talking about which coaches are going to be fired. It leads to people choosing which one they hate then hating them after they are not fired. And I certainly hope we don't lose 3 to 5 which means less continuity with players next year who really need some stability.

Almost as bad as when my poor Bearden Bulldogs had to face Oak Hill Academy (HS of Carmelo, Rondo, Stackhouse, Durant for a time). That Oak Hill team had 6 Power-5 D1 players including Doron Lamb (UK). They went 40-1 and finished ranked 2nd nationally. Bearden lost by 10 86-96 in a classic.

But this picture is forever ingrained in my mind as to the Herculean task that was in front of the underdog Bulldogs:

Momentum...how has our momentum stalled exactly? We're in a perfect position to finish the season with 5 straight wins and get a warm weather bowl game...

Have you not learned anything about this coaching staff and how tight lipped they keep things when it comes to recruiting? We're also a 5-5 team with the 20th ranked class right now, got 4 4 stars and 4 high 3 stars visiting for Vandy in 2 weeks.

The only thing I know about recruiting for certain in this era is that until they sign, don't count the chickens.

I remember watching that game on tv......Bearden played their hearts out but they were unable to overcome the the talent difference.
