Fulmer isn't going to release details and I doubt Pruitt will say much more. Players, fans and boosters wanted a FL bowl. Former trustee and donor Brad Lampley is MCB co-chairman and wanted UT in the MCB to guarantee a sellout. They're trying to boost the MCB's profile and UT would've helped. Doubt MSU brings the crowd or the viewership. I would expect UT to focus on the game now-- not the bowl.

I'm not 100% positive, but I am pretty sure Brad Lampley is Fr Jackson Lampley's dad (4-star recruit from MBA).
