Sorry, but any kid who believes it when a coach says that UK is now a more premier program, probably doesn't need to come to UT. Not smart enough. UK fans even know after the discussion on their board yesterday.

And tbh, most of the "inside info" here isn't even accompanied by "I was told" or anything else. Hell, I couldn't swear which is passing along vs their opinion. There's usually nothing added to differentiate.

But regardless, if the SEC thought or implied MCB initially, and others, posters or publications, used that as their source, don't see why anyone would hold that against them. I don't recall ever seeing a situation like yesterday, previously.

True. I just hate that the anti-Vols media (who cares about butthurt UK fans) but actual media members are trying to twist it into some sort of "Fulmer cried" when it's clear that the back/forth negotiations were being made by the SEC/Bowl game folks.

Because it wasn't just as simple as UT goes from Bowl A to Bowl B, since 3 teams ultimately were impacted.

Yep.
And I'd add this: I would at least say speculation BUT with a basis.
Wasn't like it was just "50/50, who knows" and every single person & outlet guessed the same way for no reason.

true. hell, VQ had it up. Price and Hubbs broke the TN/L'vill game down an hour before the "offical" release....lol.

yesterday was weird, and uncommon.

i don't know that i'd just start going around blaming anyone in particular. there was a breakdown in communication, probalby a lot closer to the center of this than any of us really know.....MCB was excited about it.....obviously. lol....and i'll just leave it at that.

they guys he's gonna want aren't gonna come cheap. and there's no more telling David Cutcliffe you can't hire this guy or that guy, or you have to fire this coach/that coach.

you wanna get the guy you want, you're gonna have pony up a budget. pruitt got his and has been told "yes" at every step.

i'm sure Lane had a similar conversation with colnel reb.

Think we settled on OKW due to how big the two bedroom unit is. Maybe I will get to use my unit since kids would be in a different room. What am I thinking, been married over 30 years so that ain't happening.

I seem to think this has happened before. Maybe not to the extent it did yesterday. But in one of the bowls we went to under Butch, reports had come out that we were going somewhere else, and there was a change at the last second.

UT v. West Virginia in the Liberty? Something like that.

maybe, but i don't remember it, so even if it did, it didn't have near the impact this did yesterday lol...i mean folks were buying MCB tickets for goodness sakes....lol.

Just like Pruitt...he knows what it will take to win to have a chance to win in the sec

yep. i think he'll do well there. the person that should be worried the most is morehead at MSU.

and i'd of loved to see Kiffin and Mullen duke it out in the great state of mississippi. man, i wish we could have seen that. that would have been epic.

Not gonna lie,I never anticipated ole miss ponying you that kind of money.the state law was interesting as well only allowing 4 years
